Dave,

Thanks! How is LA? Im from Westlake Village. Color is interesting overall. Lighter in bright light and is darker in fading or dim light. So far this is a very very fun car to drive.

TerribleONE 02-26-2015 01:20 PM

Congrats.

BC416 02-26-2015 01:52 PM

Nice car and color too!

I considered an Evo/STi as well prior to purchasing the Z but I wanted something different than a turbo I4 after driving an SRT-4 for 7 years.

Good luck!

blackcherry20 02-26-2015 04:32 PM

Wha?! :)

Congrats!

Magic Bus 02-27-2015 01:06 PM

Very nice, enjoy!

DLSTR 02-27-2015 01:26 PM

Thanks for the warm greetings for the car. Day 3 and Im still having alot of fun even just breaking it in. The sound is amazing and powerful. This is a very unique machine. I love the interior. Very nice driving position and visibility from the drivers side cockpit. Well laid out and purposeful.

Will get a nice detail on it tomorrow. Full wax etc if the weather will cooperate.

Firebase99 02-27-2015 03:26 PM

Take some pictures of the interior please? I'm On the edge of liking one but I couldn't get past the cheap interior of the old one.

Zbrah 02-27-2015 03:29 PM

Nice color, congrats!

It's a big step up from the previous generation forsure. I drove Sharif's at Zdayz last year and was impressed.

yoyoPR 02-27-2015 04:00 PM

Thanks again everyone for the cheers. Its been a busy day today. Finally got the full first complete detail done including wax etc. Car is showing zero wear and scratches or damage at all from shipping. Amazing since the car went from factory in Japan to Florida to me here in Germany. Impressive as Darth would say :)

Out building the kilometers for the break-in. Zorched up to the Porsche Factory for some pics etc. I figured Id take the boxer motor Subi to see the place where the best boxer-configured engines are made :) A few pics to peruse.

One of the buildings always has a huge poster of one of the new cars. Today this building was adorned with this poster - Translation is 'Hard Shell. Hard Core' The new Cayman GT4

Quiet professional looking pictures and a fun place to explore as well.

Why the shipping from Florida to Germany?

Tigger 02-28-2015 08:46 PM

I've been mulling over a new STI for some time. Love it. Congrats! I'll likely wind up with a Porsche (funny that you were taking pictures over there as I was just at the dealer early taking one out for a drive) but if not, probably the STI. Only driven the WRX so far. But more power? And a bigger scoop in the hood? why not?

nomodsjk 02-28-2015 09:31 PM

I love the new version I think it looks really good and with winters like these it would come in handy

P's_Z 02-28-2015 09:35 PM

As a former 2x time subaru owner, ill always have a bit of love for subies

watson853 03-01-2015 08:03 AM

I love the New STI's congrats. Personally though I woulda waited for Subaru to replace the ancient EJ series engine you got in there.

Here ya go. Does not feel cheap overall and Im quite pleased thus far. Do remember you dont 'drive' the interior lol :) Hope this helps your decision process a touch!

Also I LOVE the seats in this car. BIG time!

Yep its been an engine with some years on it. Still sounds amazing and I really liked the look and feel of the car with it. Could not resist!

Thanks - it was a tough call between this blue and the darker Galaxy Pearl blue. Both are great. I still debate lol.

Man I love this car! I'm obsessed with STi's. I love the new look and the boy racer wing, not to mention the best suspension and handling under 50K. Must be pretty rare to have an STi in Germany I'm assuming?

Austonian 03-05-2015 09:31 AM

She's a beaut!!!

Yes quite rare. Not many around at all. Some for sale but in all of Germany now its probably 30 or so at the dealers. My dealer has 1. Next closest was 50km away per the online site I use here.

Really this a fun sort of becoming 'old school' performance car. Hydraulic steering etc. Nice firm manual gearbox. Its a big contrast to my M235i for sure! Ive never owned anything like it before. Also my first Subaru.

Thanks. Im pleased so far. Just need to keep driving and get through the break in lol!

Chuck33079 03-05-2015 01:12 PM

Get it tuned ASAP. There's a nasty lean spot in the OEM fuel map on the EJ257s.

HEK 03-05-2015 05:09 PM

nice car, unfortunately here in my company alone there are 5 Sti's , all blue one 4 door and the rest wagon/ hatch. Never driven one but one of my friends took me for a spin and he drives like he stole the car so yes impressive but still felt like a regular car, not sure how to explain this. Maybe I'm so used to having so many blind spots that being able to see "more" is abnormal to me :driving:

Limeybastard 03-10-2015 08:26 AM

The boxer rumble is what makes this vehicles soul. I would never get the WRX version.
