That might be an example of his unfamiliarity with the track. I imagine with a car that powerful, it can be a little intimidating if you aren't familiar.
The only time I've ever driven the Z on a track (was at COTA), I felt like no one was braking hard at all - like I should be able to get twice as close to turn-in before braking in almost every curve but especially Turns 1, 11 and 12. Of course, it was the Nismo Performance Academy. So lots of non-track drivers.

That Z06 driver is definitely better but that car isn't putting out full power. On the back straight he was only 147mph while my friend with a previous gen ZR-1 got 160mph. In my Z I get up to 135mph.
