Cheap gas, lax EPA regulations, and cheaper R&D and production costs. Yay late 90s!

300ZX-TTs sure were smoky beasts after a few miles.

Hello all, just wanted to chime in. I'll be getting a Q50 in the fallowing month or so. Pretty excited for the step up. Looking to do a fast intentions exhaust, stillen intakes, and full audio upgrade. Looking to do a 2014 AWD version simply because of work.

I do have a question to Q50 owners. If your heated seats are in AUTO, does that mean when you start the car they come on? Trying to plan out my remote start for it.

Don't buy a 2014. You will hate life because of InTouch. Get a 2015. All of the hardware behind the infortainment was upgrade - memory and processors. The 14s are cheap as piss solely because of that. Unless you know something about swapping out that entire center stack you'll find yourself two miles down the road after startup still waiting on apps to load.

If the seats are in auto, the preferences are paired to whichever key you programmed whichever slot for. I.E. key 1 was used to set preferences for setting 1 and key 2 was used to set number 2, whichever key starts the car automatically chooses its preferred setting.

Good luck! The Q50 is an extremely underrated car. You will enjoy it.

Thanks for that info, actually I'll be upgrading the intouch with the android interface which bypasses all the bootup wait time.

Thanks for the info on the seats as well. So I believe what you're saying is. With the auto enabled the seats will not turn on until I get in the car with the fob? Remote start will just get the car running.

Bringing this thread back from the dead, I Just picked up a 2017 Q50S AWD as a daily driver. I already have put over 800 KM on the first 4 days of ownership. I really love this thing. Keeping the 370Z for the weekends and track days.

Did you get the Silver or Red Sport. Either way get the JB1 and enjoy the boost!

Nice! I was on the market for the RS400 but am going to wait a bit longer to see how the VR30 holds up.

Wise decision. I'm keeping my VQ for a good bit longer. I'm not quite sold on the VR yet. Drove one and it was great but too many horror stories showing up too frequently.

Yep. All the tunes and piggy backs are pretty new so figure in a few years we'll see how it holds up. Plus I'm still not sure I want a single car or go back to the two car deal.
