Tesla D owns a Hellcat in the 1/4 mile...

A loss is a loss, regardless….

Hellcat Driver Gets His *** Handed To Him By Tesla At Drag Strip

But ask the Tesla to run for an hour on a circuit .... it might make 15 minutes at WoT but not a lot longer I suspect.

Power by sparks has a bit of an endurance problem with energy density as battery-storage capacity is still a problem.

why bother having a car you cant enjoy..

DEpointfive0 01-20-2015 01:36 PM

I honestly think/pray the Hellcat guy was trying to do a burnout for the whole 1/4 mile

If you watch the Hellcat red lighted and then bogged pretty hard, it looked like he basically stopped trying once he red lighted.

I demand a rematch!

Ehhhhh, no, I think when he jumped, he said F-it and decided to do a long burn out.

That could very be it also, but in all honesty the Hellcat was not going to win that race.

I mean, here is a Viper v Z7 Z06....the Telsa would have beaten both those cars. All TQ and AWD is just unstoppable.

Really?

On the flip side, my doctor friend has a Tesla, Ive driven it and it is a BADASS. To further hijack this, he ordered a C7 Zo6, has a 2014 GT3, 2014 458, 2014 911 Turbo S, GTR and Aston Martin. Obviously I went into the wrong field.

You are joking right? The Z can't even do 20 minutes straight without hitting fuel starve. The electric cars do about 1.5-2 miles per kwh under track condition, you are looking at 40 miles in a P85. That's still more than enough for one session at the track. The car can do 0-60 in 3 sec with more traction and acceleration than you can use safely, how is that not fun?
