1961 Impala for Sale!!!
Hi all,
I have a friend who is selling his '61 Impala... Chevrolet Impala for sale | Hemmings Motor News Description: 1961 Chevrolet Impala, Chevys have always been honest cars and this 1961 Impala with 67,300 original miles delivers on that tradition. The repaint is several years old now but gives the car a warm patina that could almost pass for an exceptionally well-maintained original. Those long quarter panels are super-straight and very glossy so any flaws would be instantly evident. All the trim is similarly intact with bright stainless accenting the sides and beautiful chrome bumpers at either end. The traditional Impala six taillight setup in back is framed by that lovely silver insert while the simple front grille is straight and clean. The interior offers original seats with newly installed seatbelts but otherwise remains factory original throughout. The button-tufted door panels are more upscale-looking than you'd expect in a Chevy but you have to remember that this was the top-of-the-line and style definitely mattered. Factory instruments keep an eye on the small block under the hood housed in a cool band on the top shelf of the dashboard. A new custom radio with USB and IPOD connectors is matched with new speakers in the rear and front has been installed. The original AM/FM radio and speakers are also included. The original 283 cubic inch V8 and Powerglide automatic transmission drivetrain has never been out of the car and still runs as smoothly as the day it was built. Engines don't get much more reliable than this with a combination that was perfected decades ago so cruising is effortless. Detailing under the hood is as the factory left it and there are no replacement parts except for the eye-popping Edelbrock 600 Carburetor and valve covers. These was added for looks only the original parts works fine and is included in the purchase. It starts quickly and easily and has a nice V8 rumble that's entirely appropriate for the Impala's luxury/performance mission. Underneath it's solid and clean and with a single exhaust. It has been permitted to be itself for decades. $22,500 negotiable 240-460-7144
