FS 1998 VW Cabrio

This description will mostly be the same as what is posted on the craigslist link posted at the bottom.


A little back story....My gf needed a car and her price range was about $8000. We looked around and couldnt find anything too good in the area. Then it hit me...I had a 2006 Malibu Maxx with only $8000 left to pay off. We decided she should take my car and I would by something new, well something new turned into a 370z

Now we needed to sell the VW for a down payment on the Z. I had 2 people lined up to buy and they both screwed me over last minute. I have had my Z for about 2 weeks now and really need this VW gone.

We have had the Cabrio for 2 years now and have never done anything too it as far as repairs go other then tires, breaks, and oil changes. The thing runs quite nicely for almost 150k miles.


It has the premium(for the time it was built) interior, working radio, power seats and windows, heated seats, power steering and brakes, its a soft top that can be pulled down into a convertable, it has 146500 miles which isnt much for a VW they drive forever. Its an automatic but plenty fast. I also redetailed the car as of 2-12-12.

The car does have a Roll bar for added safety which will make your insurance lower than your average convertable. The vehicle will need to be inspected and I can either get that done myself or lower the price a little if you prefer to take it to your own garage.
