SOLD FS: (NC) 2005 STi: CGM - Still under warranty!!!
SOLD
Up for sale is my 2005 Crystal Gray Metallic Subaru STi. Ready for a change and have my eyes on a new 370Z. It's basically a stage 2 car. Runs great! Interior is in excellent condition. Exterior has normal wear and tear plus a dent on the right rear quarter panel (described further below). Basic info: 64,095 miles (still used as my daily driver) 6 year / 80,000 mile warranty (expires 4/19/11) Located in Charlotte, NC Asking for $16,500 Mods: Engine APS CAI Helix catted dp Perrin catback Walbro 255 AccessPort V2 (protuned at 3SX) Perrin dual catch cans AMS Small battery kit Drivetrain TiC Super Shifter Set TiC Unibomber's Sexy Rearend Suspension/Stiffening TiC Giuyngmyo Fender Cowl Braces Kartboy rear endlinks Worx Tuning Springs Brakes Goodridge stainless steel lines Motul RBF600 Performance Friction 2-piece front rotors Hawk HPS pads Interior ATI clock gauge pod Autospeed dead pedal MadDad Clarity boost, EGT, and oil pressure gauges (oil pressure and EGT stopped working) Wired for a trailer (easily hidden if not needed) Pioneer DEH-2100 head unit with iPod connection Exterior Autospeed license plate delete Cleared headlights Esemes grill mod Hella Supertones JDM rain guards Smoked tail lights Tint Curt trailer hitch (can easily be removed if you don't like/need it) Wheels/Tires Gram Lights 57F Bronze wrapped in Falken FK452's Security Compustar Alarm History: The primary use for the car was as a daily commuter (14 miles round trip). The only mechanical failure was a cracked turbo oil line due to a manufacturing weakness. It was covered under warranty and they also replaced the turbo (they were concerned it may have been starved of oil due to the leak). This was performed at 42,965 miles (1/7/08). So just a little over 21K miles on the turbo. I still have the paperwork for this. I do all my own maintenance and have all my records. All recommended services are up to date. The car was taken on track a few times for some non-competitive track days. Never had an off or any issues on track. I went to 6 events total. As a result of the heat in the brakes, the calipers have turned a golden brown color. This is only cosmetic. No issues, no leaking. The car was not thrashed on track. I always concentrated on being smooth and took very good care of the car before and after events. The car was also used for autocross for roughly 1 season. Again, no issues as a result. The only major flaw on the car is a dent on the right rear quarter panel. This occurred the first time I was backing up my motorcycle trailer. Apparently it can make contact with the car when cutting at sharp angles It happened at ~2mph. I don't believe it would cost much to repair but I just haven't taken the time to do it. Purely cosmetic damage. Let me know if you have any questions. Nate Last edited by puckshaw; 11-14-2009 at 01:25 PM. |

Thanks The car is a blast to drive. In fact, I have a feeling in the back of my mind that I will regret selling it. My girlfriend is mad as hell that I put it up for sale. She's not a fan of the Z for some reason

the Z is a different animal... I used to have a Cobb'd Evo X... for some reason I found myself getting crappier as a driver w/ that car... It just did all the work for you... Kinda turned me off on AWD cars w/ computers but I drove my buddys STi recently and its much more car and driver but not NEARLY as much as the Z. With the Z its just you - the gas pedal the tires and the steering wheel. It will obey you as long as you dont abuse it. And look wise - it grows on EVERYONE

That definitely makes me feel better about this move. I enjoy a challenge behind the wheel. Oh and the looks grew on me instantly. The Z is gorgeous! Thanks for your input
