No need to make any date changes on my account. If something changes for the 17th I will be down. Never been on Skeeter Ridge Rd and always wanted to see what everyone from car enthusiasts to motorcyclist have been raving about. . Working on getting the motorcycles up and running again. |

Bad news
Just found out my rear differential bushings are cracked and leaking fluid. I've seen a few people on the forums have this problem. The whole diff has to be dropped, so I might as well overhaul as much as I can. I see this as an opportunity for some upgrades. I'm going to get some whiteline polyurethane bushings, nismo diff cover, and a whiteline rear sway bar. Does anybody know any good reliable shops that will do the work? The job is going to take a few hours and I'm not even going to try it. Price isn't that a big a deal, just rather have it done right. Last edited by SnooPPP; 05-07-2014 at 05:27 PM. |

The Rear End Shop in Livermore. Tell em Nathaniel Rowland sent you their way. My car is actually in their shop right now. All they do is differentials, work fast and know what they are doing.
Side note: The sways are easy to swap out with the diff still in place. Go with one of the hollow bars as well, the inner material on solid bars is a waste of weight since it doesn't contribute as much to the bars torsional rigidity/stiffness. Hollow>solid every time. Hey Myotorsports, so its a good thing we didn't end up trying the diff swap in your garage. The left side stub axle that I had gotten with the diff was the wrong one, in the end, my car was sitting in the shop on their lift for over a week with no diff in it, while I sourced the right part (which turned out to be its own adventure...). Luckily they were nice guys and didnt charge me anything extra or give me any hassle about that.
You should come on the cruise with us or meet for some part of it man, even if its just for food afterwards. Dave, good to hear from yah. See you on the run! Last edited by ValidusVentus; 05-14-2014 at 01:14 AM. |
