Trip to Cali

In Feb my girlfriend and I will be heading to San Fran area for a nice vacation. Current set in stone planes are limited but so far this is what we have:

Fly in Thursday morning
Concert Friday night at 7PM
Saturday head to wine country
Sunday some more wine tours and fly out Sunday evening

What I am looking at:
-Hotel for two days in San Fran, what are some good options without breaking the bank? Thinking of staying near the Wharf.
-Rental car, we really only need it for Saturday & Sunday, but we also might try to cruise the coast. Are there rental services that we can rent a decent car for the day (convertible/roadster)?
-Dining, Thursday night will be Valentines night and looking for something simple but fun. Maybe dinner & a show all in one place.
