Self Service Garage or DYI
Hey all,
I just wanted to get some input and see if anyone could point me in the right direction. I am planning on installing the oil-cooler in a near future (already ordered the parts). So I was wondering if anyone knew of a place where I could do it at? I live in apartments... and the lease says "cant change oil" on the property, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any place in the bay? Thanks in advance! Hope everyone is having a good week! |

or in California in general...I've been on the hunt for something like this down here for a while. If I had the money to invest I'd probably open one up myself...I'm actually wondering if there's a legal reason there isn't one but that doesn't make much sense.

but on the real..i was thinking about it too. the only issue is you'd need a HUGE insurance policy. waivers and what not can only go so far. you'd need a pretty large initial investment as well. garage space, tools, lifts, and a customer base. |

Haha here's an idea... everyone pitch in and open up a place for Z owners only.
I bet if you were to sit down with a lawyer and map everything out and then if you were to "screen" individuals and their cars before hand, that might cover the CYA area of the business. |

I then heard that people were getting injured and the insurance was just going through the roof. Have not seen anything like that since, except if you know a local shop willing to rent an empty bay for a short period. Overall just too dangerous for the general DIY maniac guy!!
