New Owner Here In Fremont
Hello everyone!
My name is Buzz and I just purchased my 09 370Z yesterday. The car feels just great. I traded in my 06 S2000 to get this car. When I test drove the car, I only took it around a business area. But the next day when I was on the freeway, I've noticed at around 70 mph, there's a slight steering wheel shake (very slight). So, I'm assuming the wheels need to be rebalanced. Anyways, I just wanted to drop in and say |

And yea, first thing to check is tires and balance. 99.9% of the time that will fix steering wheel shake. Congratz on the upgrade!

Hey people... thanks so much for all the greets, and I appreciate them.
So, how often in the Bay Area are their meets and/or spirited drives?

I drive my Silver 2011 370Z to Fremont once a week. (Usually friday) Z.O.N.C. has a calendar of run events around Northern California. Others have mentioned a rally group that meets on the tarmac at the Monterey airport (I don't recall the name right now. Have to google it...) I've also had someone recommend the BMW owners clubs saying they accept all makes/models at their rally events. And you're welcome to propose a time and route of your own. I did that with some friends from work and got a couple more people to show up from posting here. I'd be interested in joining in a drive. If you want to try your car on the track, I recommend Track Masters Racing or Your Private Track Day. But they havn't posted the 2012 schedules yet. I will say that Laguna Seca was a blast! And I'm looking forward to doing some Rally events where I can disable the traction control without fear of going into the gravel. If you are interested, Track Masters may still have openings at Laguna Seca on Friday Dec 16th. Both TM and YPTD events include driving instructors that can ride along and help you learn the track. |

If you're looking into Tracking the Z, NCRCRacing is also a nice group to run with. Their prices are really good and they usually have a so pretty good weekend schedule. I've ran HPDE events at Thunderhill, Laguna Seca and Buttonwillow with them.. I always seem to miss out on Sears point though..
