Sept. 24: MECA Regional Finals and Car Show
so it turns out Dyno Day at ZCarGarage has been canceled, so maybe I will try and make this event instead. the guy who did my audio install is one of the organizers.
here's the info if any of you guys are interested. let me know. _______________________________ Please save the date Saturday, September 24th, for a great event. MECA's 2011 California Regional Finals Car Audio Competition will be held at MVP Arena, 696 E. Trimble Road, Suite 30, San Jose, CA 95131 Just like the regional finals in the past few years, this will be the biggest car audio competition of the year, featuring some of the best sounding and loudest cars on the west coast! But UNLIKE the past years, we are holding the event this time jointly with District 10 car club, who will be putting on a big car show at the same time feature well over 100 show cars! In addition, we will have a TON of fun activities on site, pump-it-up fun houses for kids and obstacle courses for everyone, a dunk tank with models sitting above the water, basketball shootouts, indoor batting cages, and much more! We will also have energy drink girls providing the kick if you need it A grill will be serving up grub all day long and tons of refreshments will be available as well. In other words, it is going to be a unique event that caters to everyone, not just a bunch of stereo guys sitting around in a parking lot all day! So please help spread the word and forward this email to all your friends. Simplicity In Sound Customers: Some of you have competed with me in the past, some of you haven't, regardless, PLEASE come out and support this event! Many of you have asked me how this car or that car I have done sounded compared to yours...or wanted to set up a meet for all my previous customers....well, here is your chance! No excuses! I would like for this to be the largest gathering of Team S in S ever! Show Cars: Have a great time showing your pride and joy but also learn about the competition side of car audio...both sound quality and sound pressure. We will set up a special introductory competition for those who have never competed, it will be limited to first time entrants, feature a MUCH lower entry fee, and there will still be a ton of trophies up for grabs within this division. This way, you dont have to go up against seasoned and dedicated car audio competition vehicles the first up out and can gain valuable feedback on how to improve your system. I will be personally sponsoring this portion. Comp Cars: Here is your chance to go up against the best in California and win BIG BIG trophies. It will also be a great chance to showcase what your car can do to those less imformed about our sport, not to mention demoing all kinds of systems at once. Shop Owners: I highly encourage you to bring some demo vehicles along for the show or competition, it will be a great way to advertise your skills and equipment to the crowd and gain some customers at the same time. (I know from personal experience of attending car shows) Manufacturers: It would be fantastic if you can show some manufacturer support in the form of demo cars, booths, donated equipment and advertising info...if you would like to set up something, just contact the email listed on the flier. Contact me personally if you can provide some equipment to help sponsor the cost of this event.

well, firstly, definitely come, second, we should see if you should go for the 1x or the main event.
the thing with your car going into the 1x is, its almost a free first place that event is aimed more at pure show cars who have a system but not geared towards sq, you have a true sq systems so its going to be almost impossible for them to compete with yours based on those judging criteria heheh... but then again, we will see who enters the 1x and make a call...i think your car will do quite well in the main event, the only bad part is that 80 percent of my guys will also be in that same class but just go and have fun and enjoy. |
