Bridge toll violations.
Hey guys,
is it possible to sue a collection agency in small claims court but they are in New York and I'm in California? This collection agency took $200 off of my tax refund check with the approval of the State of CA because they said I had two Bayarea bridge toll violations back in 2007. They gave me the license plate number and it wasnt mine. I went to the DMV. They checked my driving records and it's clean. I wrote to the collection agency 5 letters asking for proof but they never reply back to me. Now i want to sue them. is it possible to sue an agency from out of state? |
Wow, as if the 5 dollar tolls just to get into SF weren't rape enough...

Best to consult with a lawyer about your issue. It's messed up how they can bypass you and go straight to your tax refund.
