Hey if anyone is going by way of I-80 thru Fairfield and wants to caravan with others, then chime in and I might be able to contact the folks for the caravan tonight.

Awesome trip

Thanks guys. I had a great time.

It was a shame that some folks got in trouble with the cops.

The fresh asphalt on the lower Feather River run that was new enough to be racetrack smooth, but old enough not to be kicking up wads of tar was a Christmas present in June!

And I found that I actually enjoyed being behind some slower traffic. Gave me a chance to slow down, put it in 6th and cruise for some fuel economy while I waited for a dashed yellow line to drop the hammer and let the engine loose.

Next time I'll have some FRS radios so I won't get split up from the group (twice!)

RECAP of the RUN

It was great run, made a lot new friends and caught up with some old friends. Weather was great, river was running high, lunch and dinner where excellent. Looking forward to the next run in July.

Sorry guys I have been offline since the run, work, work and work.

He called on our way down the hill, simon and the 350Z and G35 headed back to Grass Valley. Said they got off lucky with 70 in a 50. He is gonna fight it by trial by declaration. Said they did not even have rador on them.

For once I did not doze on the way home from Truckee, stayed away form the carbs, ate protein only.

How was S. Lake Tahoe?

^Agreed, I was behind you poking along when we hit that last hill before Quincy.

The Outlaws strike again, two years in a row. Last year soccer mom talked her way out with five others, then got kicked out of Quincy before we caught up. As I mentioned at the drivers meeting that Quincy comes up fast and they are always waiting there (the rookies right out of academy in Sac).

I dropped back knowing I was pushing luck with no po-po's through out the entire canyon. Also wanted to give others a chance to hot dog it, had no idea we were that close to Quincy when bam...road block and they practically took over the Chevron station to dole out yellow slips.

Overall it was still a hoot, hitting those wide sweepers. And some of the photos I have of you from behind, does look like you need to stiffen the Whiteline sways.

Phil, glad you made it out and no sense taking the new 370Z to the limit when still in break in stage.

I too was happy with the smooth as a babies bottom road surface on the decnt down into the canyon.

Twice, I only saw it once on hwy 99 out of SAC. FRS is a plus.
