Santa Cruz run Oct. 9

1 Attachment(s)
Don't forget to mark your calendars for October 9, 2010! ZCarGarage and Z Owners of Northern California (ZONC) have arranged for a full tour of the amazing Canepa Design Museum and Showroom facility along with a beautiful drive through the Santa Cruz Mountains. The tour is impressive with a full look at how restorations are done on Porsche 959s to vintage race cars that you see at the major Historic Racing events. It is truly a candy store for automotive fans!

I wish this was on another day. I'll be in VEGAS that weekend.

TrackRat 09-20-2010 06:15 PM

Awesome... I think I'm going to have to do this. I missed my last opportunity for a tour of Canepa with the BMW club and really have been regretting it.

I will see u there Rob. How are those intakes working for u?

TrackRat 09-21-2010 11:11 AM

Intakes went in pretty easily and I am liking them. Did get the car to the track last week and as we discussed, re-confirmed that this car is useless without an oil cooler. That goes in tomorrow.

davidyan 09-21-2010 10:55 PM

TrackRat 10-04-2010 10:45 AM

Tom -

Willow350 10-04-2010 09:19 PM

I'm in rain or shine. I have 350z, but can I join you 370z guys on your way down to San Jose? I'm in Hercules. I could take hwy4 to hwy680 down. I'm thinking joining you guys at walnut creek or San Ramon. Let me know.

jlaughman22 10-04-2010 10:51 PM

Willow350 where at in hercules are you ? do you drive the silver 350 i always see around, i have the 370 with cf hood

TrackRat 10-04-2010 10:56 PM

I'm not passing up the chance to check out Canepa Designs. Just need to nail down an extact departure time from Walnut Creek. Anyone else from the area is welcome to caravan down with me.

Carbon Silver with carbon fiber V1 lip, JP diffuser(add-on really), and black wheels. You probably didn't see me because I don't drive Z much. Your car black? I may have seen you.... You going? If so, caravan with me to this guy down bellow.

I'll join you at walnut creek. Time and place. Post it up.

As for San Ramon member. Post your meet up time and place too. So, we can all can cruise down there to San Jose.

jlaughman22 10-05-2010 12:36 PM

Yeah I'm planning on going, what time is everyone leaving ? We can meet up @ the shell station off sycamore then to walnut creek

tomnavone 10-05-2010 12:39 PM

I plan on going but my car might be at z car garage for some more goodies. I will find out more today.

TrackRat 10-05-2010 01:17 PM

There's a Starbucks right off of 680 at Treat/Geary in Walnut Creek (2922 N Main St). Should likely take about an hour or so to get down to San Jose so I'd say we should likely plan to meet/depart around 7:45 to be down at the shop by the 9:00 meet time.

Let me know your respective thoughts and who's thinking of meeting up there. We can collect people further south as we go.

Sounds perfect. Be there at 7:00am sharp. Depart 7:10am after filling up some gas. It will take 22mins or 18.5 miles to get to 2922 N Main St (starbucks) per google map.

It would be nice if your Z can be ready to join this cruise.

Agree. There are lots parking spots at Crow Canyon Rd exit in San Ramon. Just pick a spot, we'll show up.

Also, anyone else joining us to cruise down to San Jose. There must be more Zs than this....
From my understanding, you don't have to be a ZONC member to participate in this cruise.

jlaughman22 10-07-2010 09:06 PM

Yes, that time is good see you there

Willow350 10-08-2010 01:52 PM

^^^ great. I'll see you there.

tomnavone 10-08-2010 05:29 PM

Sorry guys I wont be able to make it. I will be going back and forth to the hospital today and tommorow due to a family members accident. Have fun out there and hopefully ill see u guys at the next one

Willow350 10-08-2010 06:53 PM

Any Z/G people who are near by Hercules or Walnut Creek, just show up on time and place as posted above. We'll have fun. Time to wash my car soon. haha

Jlaughman 22, if you don't have 2way radio, you can borrow one from my set. I'll bring extra.

TrackRat 10-09-2010 09:13 AM

Rob from zcg put some up on his blog zcarblog.com

TrackRat 10-11-2010 05:39 PM

I have a ton on my camera that I need to pull down...

Willow350 10-11-2010 06:40 PM

Run after lunch was great. Well worth staying. That leader or white 240z did great. Ann's small speech didn't really apply. Haha

the_student 10-11-2010 08:09 PM

I took off after canepa...that place was nice and there were a lot of great cars there. I thought we were there for too long of a while though. I had to be back by 1 so I didn't get to go on the scheduled run. I took highway 9 back to Saratoga. Ran by a GTR but he didn't want to play. Not much traffic. Good driving.

Willow350 10-12-2010 01:50 PM

^^^^ yeah, nice talking to you. Take it easy at work. Easier saying than done right? Haha... hope to see you at another run.
