Legal California Modifications?
Hello,
I recently got my Z 2017 model and I was wondering what are some California legal modifications I can make? I just got the armytrix catback exhaust system and i was planning on getting the Takeda intake but realized it won't pass visual smog check for my 2017 model. They only have it for the 2009-2016 models unfortunately. What would you guys recommend? |

CB exhausts should not create problems.
Unless things have changed, cold air intakes didn't use to be an issue. I would check with Stillen and their cold air intake. Their mods are typically always CARB certified if needed. |

Like the post above states, swapping any component of the exhaust system, sans the emissions parts, is usually acceptable. Cool air intakes and exhaust headers used to have a history of being hit-and-miss smog-wise, but it seems to be more common now that a lot of these parts are CARB-exempt. Just do your research before you buy.
