Hope Everyone had a very wonderful Christmas and the rest of the holiday season thus far.
Gadzoon, it was a lot of fun, definitely looking forward to seeing you on the next cruise. Please feel free to organize one as well, i'm looking for suggestions for future runs. So glad there is still so much interest in more cruises. with that being said... A z friend I met through the so.cal region thread is in the area (Salinas) for the holidays til Jan. 6th would like to meet up with more local z's. Date: Jan 5th Local Suggestion: Somewhere in Santa Cruz (or Monterey, but that maybe too far for some/most) Time: ? Let me know if anyone is interested in joining me. I know this is super last minute. So far the weather is sunny for the 5th. gr8-wrx: whenever you see your self have time and get chance to take the z, we can definitely organize a cruise. |

BONFIRE ON THE BEACH WITH THE Z'S CIRCLING US MUST HAPPEN I'll be coming from San Leandro. The path I take will probably be like it's laid out in the attached image. I'm open to any meetup spots but will look at some options. |

I may have found a spot for us to do a bonfire if anyone is interested. SeaBright Beach is open until 10pm and has fire pits. Check out the images on Yelp. I can bring the logs and stuff if there is interest. Last edited by Bay Area Z; 12-29-2018 at 03:04 AM. |

A friend of mine is going to join me.
Head count so far is: Bay Area Z + 1 friend (Joins cruise at 3pm) Casher1212 (Joins cruise at 6pm) xoxOnaisa +1 friend (Joins cruise at 3pm) Anyone else? I will cover the logs. Bring s'mores if you wish. I'll end up staying in Santa Cruz on that night. My plan after the bonfire is to smoke some cigars on the boardwalk, play some pool at Neptune's Kingdom, and grab some food after that. |

It just occurred to me that it's scheduled to rain on the day of the cruise.
We know how reliable these forecasts are so anything can happen. I went backpacking last week and it said 0% chance of rain....as soon as I showed up, it rained the whole time I was there. But in case you were considering rolling with us, keep that in mind. It may rain. If it does, it would be a different cruise (no bonfire). Personally, I'll see what happens with the weather and keep my hotel reservation for now. |

For those interested in something a little shorter/informal, I’m located in the South Bay (San Jose) and drive up to SF on Sunday's to visit family. As of lately I’ve been taking highway 9 —> Skyline 35 —> pit stop at Alice’s —> 92 then eventually taking 280 up to SF.
Been doing this once or twice a month if anyone wants to join in the mornings/afternoon (although traffic does pick up in the afternoon). Emphasis on informal! Unfortunately, no BBQ’s or bonfires with this one. Just putting in some miles in the woods on Sunday’s. |

Dang I had no idea the Bay Area still had active Z car activities. I've been hanging out with too many Subie bros and it'd be cool to drive with my people!
My favorite route around Woodside area is Page Mill -> Alpine -> Pescadero -> Hwy 1 -> 84 -> Alice's When the weather is better maybe we can all go on a nice drive. |
