Hello from Mukilteo!
Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I live in Mukilteo, WA, specifically within the Harbour Pointe area. I relocated from Fort Worth, TX in September of 2011 to work for Boeing Commercial Airplanes as a designer. I purchased my 2009 370Z (only 30K miles) from the Bellevue Nissan dealer in March. I love this ride! I've already started on a few minor mods. So far I've installed the carbon fiber/chrome Nismo shift knob, painted the engine cover red, removed the clutch "helper spring", and ordered the HPS red silicon intake tubes. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for gatherings/meet-ups. I have a few photos in my gallery, but will add more soon. Until then....

Welcome! Sounds like you are enjoying your ride.

hello!

Thanks a bunch! Yeah, I am definitely enjoying the ride. Since the mid 1990's I've had a 1993 Camaro (3.8L), a 1992 Convertible Firebird (5.0L), a '95 Diamante LS, '88 Jeep Cherokee Laredo and finally a 2009 Honda Civic. I traded in the Civic for the Z.... the Civic just wasn't me. I do have to say that the 370Z is the most fun car I've driven, even more so than the Corvette Z06 I drove. A friend back in San Antonio gave me a ride in his Viper GTS (fast!), but I still think the Z is more fun.
I look forward to eventually sharing what I've done with mine and hanging out with other Z owners. Enjoy the rest of the week! |
Welcome and congrats!

Thanks Z-Girl 12... I tried to land a job with Boeing down in Florida, but they needed me at the big factory. I like Florida.

BTW Xplicit97... Nice! Another black Z. I haven't seen very many black ones around. Almost got white, but then again, it rains here all the time and no need for it since I'm no longer in the Texas heat.

Hello Chris. Small world. I used to live in Bellevue and loved catching the ferry at Mukilteo for my Whidbey Island drives, enjoying some Ivar's clam chowder on the boat and getting the latest ferry coffee mug.
I'd hang out in Coupeville for lunch and shopping then cruise up to Deception Pass for photos and then up toward Anacortes and back over to the mainland for the drive down home. Very beautiful area. |
I came from Texas (lived in Fort Worth and San Antonio) so I'm happy I don't have to deal with the 106 degree heat in the summer, as it was when I moved here. Yes, I love the area! Of course my only complaint is the nearly constant rain in the winter (well, "drizzle"). I took the Z down to Cannon Beach, OR two weekends ago when it was sunny and 80 degrees. Stayed the night and I was surrounded by Ferraris all weekend because the Ferrari club was there. Driving the 101 back along the coast was fun, especially with the number of tight curves in the road.
Looking forward to meeting some of the local 370Z owners. It's been a while since I had a vehicle worth showing off. lol. Fortunately I live only 4-1/2 miles from the Boeing factory/offices, so I can keep daily the miles down. I may buy a house further west towards Snohomish next year since there is a big price jump. But regardless, I like the area. Thanks! |
It was hard for me to drive past the Boeing factory, keeping my eyes on the road and trying not to stare at all those 747s inside.
Yes, The Oregon coast is really incredible. Try to get some Z pics with those huge rock formations on the beach and some of those lighthouses too. |
