I went to Intec Racing in Kent, had my Titan UpRev'd there by Lawrence as have several others on here with their 370s. My experience was great, he did a great job! Kito Auto Sport in Seattle is another UpRev place you can check out.

They were running a special for $650 at the time and it did not include a Cipher cable at the time (I've since bought one). Lawrence spent a little under 2 hours on the dyno with my truck and for what they do, dyno time is pretty much required. Nothing beats a custom tune on a dyno but if you want to go direct with UpRev, you can order Osiris Standard online and they will send you a cable with a license on it and email you a ROM to load based on what you tell them about your Z (mods). You flash the ECU and go take some datalogs, send them to UpRev and they will update your tune based on the logs. My Titan doesn't have VDC so I've never had any issues with that or with anything about the Osiris tune. I would urge that you have a chat with Lawrence about the VHR before you drop the cash, from what we've chatted about, don't expect too much gains as far as peak horsepower (unless you plan to start going for bigger engine mods like long tube headers, bigger injectors and such all the way up to forced induction), what a good tune will do is unlock your throttle (removing the infamous Nissan WOT restriction at low speeds), give your powerband a nice upward shift and smooth out power delivery through all rpms. For what you got, know that should you get additional mods that require a re-tune, you can always go back to Intec and Lawrence will have another go, just have to pay for the dyno time, can't recall but roughly 50-60 an hour.

Like Titan said Intec or Kito know what they are doing and use dynos to dial things in. Running the car on a dyno will allow a tune fitted for your specific car and mods. Personally I would avoid a canned tune or something that comes in the mail.

Thanks for the advice Nikon. So you were saying they had a special for $650 is that everything? That was the tune and dyno (not including the cable)? Do I need the cable right off the bat? How much did the cable cost whats the advantage of getting it? Will i be able to drive my Z after installing these parts before a tune (atleast from Lacey to kent) or will it damage the engine?

Also Titan1080 you said "I would urge that you have a chat with Lawrence about the VHR before you drop the cash"

what is VHR is that the tune with no dyno? sorry im new to tuning

The dyno and tune comes as a package, After the fact there is no hardware or cables…just your car that runs better. You can drive your car after the bolt-ons just fine, unless you put on long tube headers or something really different (you might loose power with something too extreme). A CBE, test pipes and intake will most likely not be a problem. I drove a CBE, test pipes and K&N drop in filters for a while and asked to see my air to fuel rations from the first pull before tune and the ratio was well within spec.

I believe the cable and device are associated with "canned tunes" not dyno tunes…..I've never heard of anyone walking away from a dyno tune with both the adjusted maps and stock maps on a device…would be nice to have though if possible.

thats my dyno tune from about 2 or 3 weeks ago when it was 85 out and 110% humidity lol

The difference in throttle alone was well worth the money. We found out with I/H/E that the VHR motors run almost dangerously lean. my AFR was about 15.4:1 @ WOT so he didn't want to continue the baseline dyno. But a good estimated gain of 9% throughout the powerband was had. Shes definitely alot livelier down low too. If you have any check engine lights for 02 sensors they can also get rid of them permanantly with the uprev software. My car didnt start throwing the code until i installed my catback (already had test pipes and intakes)

But definitely recommend Lawrence @ intec.

Sweet Love the feedback guys its looking pretty solid to the direction im going! If you dont mind me asking how much did your tune cost? Also if I go to the dealership will they "trip" over my mods and tuning?

I know we already went over no "can" tunes but... An Evo 8 dude told me cobb had a tuner you leave in your car that you can adjust settings ie:Economy, Stock, Power. Whats your guys opinion on this.
