Ahhhh!!! Some people's children
:shakes head::shakes head:Well, I got out an hour early Friday because I wanted to take my Z for a joyride. I just passed 1200 miles. My car is not even two months old. Anyways, as I was walking towards the car, I noticed a strip of white paint on the driver's side bumper and part of the fender. Some ar$h0le backed into my car and left his white paint all over it. I almost cried. After a couple of hours of elbow grease, I got all of the white paint out. But there are some areas on the bumper where the clear coat is gone, two "2" inches of deep gouges on the bumper, and one area with bare spot, totally scraped the paint off.:shakes head::shakes head:
I will post pics later. But my question is, can this be fixed by one of those one day paint van that goes to the dealer? Or do I need to take it to the body shop? On a more positive note, my S-tune Nismo kit arrived today!!:tiphat::tiphat: Thanks y'all |
body shop, PDR is only good for dents

Those paint repair vans only do touch ups (that look terrible by the way). I read this article a while back about people who used touch up paint to perfectly repair damages like yours. They essentially "overfilled" each area and then wet-sanded it down flat. Would I recommend? Nah...but if you're desperate...well, yeah...
Body Shop :( Don't go to Bel-Red. They'll seriously f&&& you. |
what does that have to do with children?

If you want a story about a child, I had just gotten home and was wiping her down to put her up in the garage when a child from next door was playing with a golf ball, bam a nice little dimple on the roof. I was so mad but kept my cool and had him get his mother. They apologized and said that he would pay to have it fixed. they moved not much later after that, long story short they never fixed it. there is your children ty in. sorry to threadjack but you are right they are someones child and the parents failed in my opinion. :mad:
