I ran low on fuel twice. 30 minutes each session almost seemed endless. Great times with some extremely proficient/fast drivers.

If anyone wants to watch me potentially crash into a small pond, I'll be running in the afternoon car lapping session at Pacific Grand Prix next Wednesday! lol Looking forward to getting whatever life is left in my stock tires, they picked up a lot of clag at my last auto-x and it didn't wear off on the drive home :P

Lapping at PGP
So yeah, that was a helluva lot of fun! Ran in the afternoon session from 1230 to 430 and got about six 15-minute sessions in, a lot of track time. I definitely recommend an oil cooler if you do one of those days when it's hot out, I came ever so close to 260 a couple times before I pitted to cool down mid-session. Apart from that, the stock brakes did very well, I felt no sign of fade and the fluid didn't appear to boil. Didn't quite wear the stock Bridgestones out yet but towards the end it was getting easier to break the rear loose, which made a couple tight corners a little easier. Had the GF snap the pics from the observation deck above the track and from the bleechers at the end of the front straight, speaking of which:

2nd gear for most of the track, the front straight is a little too long to stay in 2nd but way too short to leg out 3rd so I short-shifted and got a little bit over 70 before the first turn. Gonna be a while before coilovers, but yeah, wouldn't mind a little drop.

FI would go a long ways on the above track. The Porsche club has 4 days reserved next year. Do a Porsche skills day at Bremerton first and I'll be able to sponsor you into a HPDE

pretty sick.
just want to give a heads up though, I highly recommend blocking out your plates because I have heard from local drifters that some insurance companies will actually browse forums and void your insurance if they see your car racing in the track. Its probably very rare, I only know of one person that this happened to. |

These are not "racing" events but club sponsored driver training to help each of us become better/safer drivers 8 )

For some warm up prior to the Ridge try the PR Winter test and tune starting on 2/4/12. $100 gets a whole day of seat time.
