Cool.
SpecJay Hey if your'e off on 4/12 (a week from tomorrow) there's a Turn2Lapping, lapping day at the Ridge. If your able you should come to the track. On lapping days (not Porsche HPDE days) 1 passenger is legal, so you could ride along and see the track…..one thing though, you'd have to promise not to puke in my car.

Well, I won't make Friday. I'm having some leaking from an aged intercooler hose and will be getting the EVOM silicone kit to replace all the hoses…..crap! Too much boost killed my old OEM hoses…………can't wait for the next track day!

Definitely ride with an instructor at the least. If you have never really pushed the Z to its limit, I would also recommend that you let an instructor drive your first run so you have a feel of what the car is capable of.
Bummer to hear your day at the Ridge was a bust Nikon, looks like it would have been fun in the rain! Anyone heading to Bremerton this Sunday? I'll be there in the afternoon session in SA catagory, I suppose it's a good thing my new Nittos aren't here yet if it's going to rain....

Officially signed up for my first track weekend in the Z. Will be running The Ridge for the June 1-2 weekend. Can't wait to see what the car will do when I finally get to let loose. Hope to see and meet some new folks out there.
Any advice for a first time car trackday would be welcome. Not sure what kind of things I should bring with me as far as supplies (generator, tools, air, fuel, etc.) Been racing sportbikes for years but have finally decided to try 4 wheels and test the skills, lol.

Basically many of the same things still apply, fluids for the car, pressure gauge, pump or small compressor…etc. Not sure about how Proformance runs things but bring tons of water to hydrate….same as when you ran your bike. Stock tires really need to be carefully managed so watch your pressures. The car prep is important…..Dot 4 brake fluid, and if you can get an oil cooler in place before you go that would really help. I typically got up to 260 deg F and I was only running D class at the time.

I installed a Stillen oil cooler about 2 weeks ago in prep for the track so hopefully I don't blow the Z up. Definitely good info here, Thank you.
