Ah...the370z.com, it's been a while. Looked around before purchasing my Infiniti. I so badly wanted that anniversary z! But at the end of the day, I couldn't comfortably afford the premium hike for a 2 door sports car. You LUCKY BASTARDS! lol :icon18:

Despite, the local meet is indeed set for 6/4/2011 at 12:30 PM. I've arranged for reserved parking @ Sushi Maru for all cars in attendance, if we do decide to go for food. G/Z's get priority unfortunately. However, please do feel free to invite others. I posted this thread across various boards, minus my350z.com (there's too many of them, albeit they're more than welcome to come if they hear about the gathering by word of mouth) :tiphat:. We're expecting anywhere between 20-35 cars. Would greatly appreciate a head count of cars + attendees per car. Hope to see you guys all there! Top floor of Bellevue Square Mall (parking structure between cheesecake and blue c sushi; munch bar, piano bar, etc.). As far as mall security goes...don't sweat it (will take care of :)). Also, I'll be keeping an eye out on the weather...extremely closely. The current plan, as is...is to CANCEL the meet if it isn't sunny. Will give each thread ample time for members to plan accordingly if it is indeed cancelled! It's JUNE though...seriously, if it isn't sunny by then...I'm moving to another state :rofl2:.

Lead Cars
 

Just a quick update for you guys. To take a stab at getting from one destination to another, as a group, we'll be designating lead cars. Cars will be marked with a small (but noticeable) piece of blue painters tape.

Any volunteers? No obligation here. We're expecting ~30 cars, and having seen past gathering get dispersed, we thought it might be a good idea? :gtfo2:?

Not much to do - but for example, coming out of the bellevue parking structure and going down the road to Sushi Maru, lead cars would go around the block (take a right out instead of left <- takes you to the main road) and come around the connecting side to block traffic so that our group could leave the parking structure in given sections. Not blocking cars permanently - just letting small groups out. The next set of lead cars will come around the corner and do the same.

Objections anyone?

quick request from you nikon: how'd your car feel after your uprev? getting mine...this coming friday. not sure what to expect. i'm thinking not too much gain in peak whp/wtq numbers, but more powa in general under the curve. i'm really hoping those throttle flaps opening up will let me take advantage of my 4.08 fd ring and pinion gears!

i've been keeping an eye out. it looks like some people took off work on saturday to come join in the festivities. if that's the case...i'd feel terrible cancelling. i'm not entirely sure what we'll do. at the moment however, june 4th has sun in the forecast. so we'll see...i'll be keeping a close eye out :tiphat:.

if it DOES rain, then i'll throw it across the boards to see what the majority wants to do. we can cancel and postpone or continue despite the rain. whether or not it'd be in the following week, i'm unsure. it all depends on our crappy weather.

Kito (the guy who did the uprev tune) managed to increase my lower end torque and my max HP slightly. I could feel the difference immediately however in how smooth the power band felt. On the track it makes a big difference (comparing to last year) especially pulling out of turn 3b.

^ good to know. did you do anything prior to your tune? ie new fluids, etc.. i'm going to assume you didn't gain much peak. hoping to gain more under the overall curve...:ugh2:

update for the meet: looks like we'll be expecting approximately ~30 individual cars. the lunch at sushi maru is now a for sure thumbs up. we'll be leaving once we have everyone up top at the initially gathering point. plan to meet at the top structure and leave within the next 30-45 minutes!

"So quick update. I scoped out the path from Ames lake yesterday and changed the path a bit to include a lil funner curves going up hill and also a rest area with a micky Ds and few restaurants parking lot.

Blast, I gotta bail, just found out a winery tour with my mum was rescheduled to this Saturday :(

My peak HP gain was about 21. Torque was less but the curve shape was changed a bit with more lower end than previous. All the stuff in my sig block was on before the tune and I was already changed over to Redline fluids (almost a year before the tune) for everything (Eng, trans and diff) due to tracking the car. The AF ratio was pretty much already good so Kito had to do some magic to get any gains…..but I like the results :tup:
