Anyone From the Portland/Vancouver,WA Area?

I originally posted this in the Western area forum and didn't get any responses. So I guess I should've originally put in this NW forum... If so, I was wondering

If so, I was wondering if you could give some information on the area. I'm from Arkansas and currently in limbo with my living situation and unemployment...currently staying in DFW area.

Could you describe the area for me...such as nice to live in the area, affordability/cost of living, things to do, the women, attitude of people, etc. What are you're impressions of the area?

1. Marriage with siblings is frowned upon, so is marriage with your first cousin.
2. You can enjoy the rain festival, only runs January-December.
3. It starts to get warm around August.
4. Sex with barnyard animals is definitely not allowed, even if you own the animals and the barn.
5. We are very friendly folks. You can visit us anytime, as long as you do not stay.

Awesome area to live, downtown portland is really chill and easy to navigate, its located near the mountain for winter sports, the ocean for summer stuff, there's nice roads to cruise on up the gorge... If you can stand like 6-7months of gloomy weather its unbeatable when its sunny out. which from the looks of the weather starts today
