Hey everyone, just joined and I thought I'd check in to the local thread.
Anyone in a gun metallic Z commute on 363 through Trooper? I'm the silver one that passes you everyday :D http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/s...2018.27.14.jpg |
I just started a new job right outside Mechanicsburg, and there are 2 Z's I now see every day in the parking lot - a black 370, and a silver 350. Anyone on here?

Hey everybody, rejoining the club with a 2018 Nismo. Quick question. Will our car pass emission with a test pipe or should i forget about it? If it won't, what power mods can be done to stay legal besides CAI and CBE ? Appreciate every response before i order stuff i won't be able to put on

I think this is the website you can check to see if your county requires emission control devices: PA DEP I/M - Information for Pittsburgh Area Drivers I'm guessing you live in the Pittsburgh Region (Allegheny, Beaver, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties) and it doesn't look like any of those counties require cats. Just make sure that you can keep you CEL off with the test pipes. You may need to put on O2 sensor extenders on your downstream O2 sensors if you are getting a CEL. |

Wash county!? Means you’re kinda close by then lol I’m in beaver county and went to college just south of you. But I agree. I have ran no cats since 2011 when I bought my Z. Never failed due to no CEL and everything checking out on the computers. Now there is one way to fail and that’s visual inspection. Don’t go to like a firestone store or something. They will put it on a lift and can see the cats are gone since it’s usually younger kids working who know that’s a thing we do. |

Depends on where you go. See my response above about visual inspections at some locations. Most wont and if there no CEL you’re good. |

yea its not fun to just stare at them in the garage lol the GTR will be out and about soon enough. i take it to a bunch of meets and events. |
I saw a beautiful blue lowered Z on the Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg the other day in front of Meineke. I'll have my black Z in Pittsburgh/Monroeville over the weekend, going to a Sci-Fi convention. Also going to One Track Night in Poconos July 11th so if anyone's gonna be there, I'll see you there.

Anyone know of a dyno somewhere near the South Hills/Washington area? I don't need a tune or anything special. Just want to strap my car down and see a graph that shows 100hp less than I wanted and 50hp less than I expected.

TPG tuning and PRL Motorsports. down your way i am not familiar with. hell , i got my Z tuned in Maryland because they was no one around this side of the state back then. |
