need to pass the emission inspection
Hey guys, :hello:
As my inspection date is coming right around the corner, (this May) I need to start finding good independent shops who can pass cars with test pipes on. I am pretty 100% sure that I will fail the state inspection soon as they plug in obdII sensor and also the visual test. I can bypass o2 sensor and troll their system to recognize it as if I have cats but no...I rather pay to independent shops and just get over with :ugh2: If anyone know good shops around here (I currently am living in Bergen County) can you recommend me one? :happydance: Thanks:tiphat: |
Why not just temporarily put back your cats (you didn't dump them did you?) and drive around for 50 or something miles for your ecu to register the difference?

I do not have my stock cats...that's the problem... :( I didn't dump them. While I was getting my test piped installed long ago, someone stole my stock cats...:( I was thinking the angled 02 sensor spacers but some people said it didn't work

I'd just find any shop that has a modified car there and talk to them. Chances are they know what to do.

I was going to pay an independent shop to do the inspection but I heard these days, they have to plug in OBD mandatory to see if the system is ready. In order them to print out the inspection sticker from the system that is connected to DMV, my system has to be ready...yes, the system has got very strict...

Next time you see someone in a car with modded exhaust, ask 'em where they go. |
what state are you registered in?

I am registered in NJ

Any luck?

You can get it cleared with a obd2 tool... before you go for an inspection that's what i did
