Nissan Manhattan Service - Bad...

Reaching my service adviser is like trying to get ahold of Obama. He is NEVER available. All I needed them to do was give the car a NY inspection and investigate/rectify an audible buzz and rattle sound in my shifter. Because the car doesn't have the front plate attached (it's behind my back seat) they couldn't complete the inspection. They simply called me 15 minutes before close and said the car was ready for pickup instead. The service adviser also incorrectly gave instructions to the tech by asking him to resolve a vibration in the shifter, not the audible sound I told him was the issue. So essentially, they were unable to do anything and I adjusted my day inconveniently to get over there to drop the car off and pick it up.

Typically I do these things myself because I know service departments are incompetent, but now I just reaffirmed it. I try and be lazy, let someone else take care of it and they fail. Looks like I will have to do it myself now...

Your story sounds like something that would happen to me. Problem is, I would do it, and make the problem 10x worse.

That place is an extremely untrustworthy establishment. Its the only place I ever seen a computer miscalculate a bill.

For non-warranty work, we are only 20 minutes outside the Holland Tunnel, let us know if there is anything we can do for you guys. (probably not the OP but someone else may come across this post down the road)
