NY/NJ shops!
 

(1) Any good highly recommended Performance shops around the NY/NJ area that can install basic bolt-on aftermarket parts on our cars? (exhaust, headers, intakes, sway bars, oil-cooler, etc.)

(2) Also, any good highly recommended Body Shops around NY/NJ area?

nah not yet, but i'm getting my intakes tomorrow and my exhaust comes on October 8th! by the 2nd week of October, i'm going to VINNY TEN RACING out in LI to get them installed.

they do anything from simple bolt-ons to engine swaps to turbo kits to exterior cosmetics! w/e!

So i was at my dealer today to pick up some wheel locks. The sales manager actually suggested to me to check out Vinny Ten. He mentioned to me that Vinny used to be a mechanic at a Nissan dealership in LI. That dealer ship had his twin turbo 350z on the floor with like a 70k price tag.

The sales manager seems to be a pretty down to earth guy and that made me really look forward to checking out Vinny Ten. Plus, Vinny has to know Nissan's REALLLLLY well.

And im down to checking out that place second week in October. It would look really sick rolling down the highway. And, if you cant fit all the mods in the trunk, have two more trunks available should help.

He knows what he's talking about!
Vinny is a great tuner when it comes to z's and g's.
I've been talking to him and I'll be heading to his shop next month.

Vinny told me him and couple of the guys are going down to the track for time trials on September 20th. I'm going to ask if I could tag a long. I'll also ask if I can bring couple of you guys.

yo Rich you should tell him about the 2nd weekend of October (saturday 10/10/09) that your boy wants to get his Intake and Exhaust installed that day by him! :D

Well, my FI exhaust and HFCs should be in before then, so I would also like to come in that day to have my goods installed. That way, we can all roll together and we can all get to know each other. So, everyone note your calendars for 10/10/09!!!! :worship:

There's a shop in the Freehold area that just opened up this summer, Akuma Motorsports. Their expertise is in STI's and WRX's but I trust them to install basic bolt on parts. I stopped by there a few weeks ago and talked to the owner John for a while. He came from Precision tuning (and Cobb) and seems to have a great rep there. I will be going there for my oil changes from now on, eventually some before/after dyno's of bolt-on's when I get to that. Normally I do my own installs but I'd like to get some before/after dynos this tiem around.

OOoo man LIE... Boo. I got my first speeding ticket on the LIE. It was in this town called Islandia, that exists between one exit, 57-58 i think. They are NOTORIOUS for giving out speeding tickets. Why dont we take southern state?
