Cross reference that one for weekly meets we went to last year. Scorpio started it and I ended up updating it for a few weeks

What is confusing ? Explain.
You have the name of the meet (in case you wanna google it)
You have the date of the meet.
On the photo there's the details of the meet.
What so confusing about that ?
Only reason why I upload a photo of the facebook event it's because:
1- I'm always out and i usually check this through my phone so it's easier for me to post it. 2- anyone with a facebook can search for the event and dig more into it.
I remember that Scorpio began that thread. However it's an outdated thread. also its meets in L.I and westchester. Here I update meets every time I can from NY NJ L.I Westchester and so on. Me personally I like to drive, I bought the car to drive and not to stay local only. To stay local I could take the bus lol.
There's meets popping up every day, specially now that the weather it's getting much better. And those meets isn't on that thread. Like the one I posted last.
But please feel free to give ideas and suggestions for a better thread, they are very much accepted and appreciated.
In fact this is for all of you that enjoy a car meet as I do, and would like to meet some cars and people on your spare ;-) time.

Also I wasn't saying to use our old thread, just take what ever info you can from it. Hence the words "cross reference". Layout was good. Decent turn outs too last year

Hi all, Its been a while.. Its a shame we cant post all this info into a regional calender so we could click on any date and see whats going on for that date... Im sure it could probably be done but a pain to maintain.. (hey AK/moderators can we do this ????) it would be nice.. hey diddy, I am assuming these are all reoccuring meets. Are you including any one day events like the 5/5/13 Cince de Mayo Long Beach meet ? and are you guys planing on going? looks like 10 guys already agreed to show up..

Yeah It would be nice to have Like a "meet calendar" or something along those lines. however we so not. that's why I have facebook. People invite me or I join groups that post meets all over the place. So I pretty much use facebook as an agenda for car meets. That's it.
I posted the meets your mentioned already. I usually try to keep it in order by date and month. But sometimes I find out about a meet last minute or they arrange a meet last minute so you may see some meets out of order.
The Cince de Mayo Long Beach meet on May/5 will be nice. So far I know 3-4 Zs meeting up to go. Ill be working that day but I will meet them around 1pm there. Not sure if you have facebook but if you do there's a group named "ZONY" which is where we set roll calls and check who's going and who's not to meets. It's pretty nice.
I hope to see you there on the fifth man. Would be nice. It's been a minute as I mentioned earlier.

think you need to look at the top of page 5 and read through every other page too, theres several meets at the end of this month. and i believe one next month

I didn't think it would be good to keep updating the first post because:
- I don't wanna keep deleting old Meets and updating with new ones. I think it would be good to leave the old ones up so people can see an chronological order these events took place. Also be able to search them on facebook or google and check out the coverage if interested.

my bad bout that then. also, i made a thread linking to the Importgram's Swing into Spring Meet in the section. it's this sunday.

best to update everything on the first page/post. not many think to scroll through all the pages to see if there's more updated info, including myself

I mean, it's common sense that the last page will contain the latest events. No ? Scroll back up on the same last page that he/she it may be checking at the moment. Take notes of what may interest him/her and that's it.
The first pages/posts be for those that are really bored and has nothing to do with his/her time and really wanna dig up on what they probably missed out and search for the coverage on google facebook whatever comfort them the most. ha haha.

it's the same concept as when there's a part-out sell thread. you don't want to scroll through all the pages to see if the person lowered prices or sold any parts. it's much easier when the person updates prices and lists which parts are pending/sold on the OP. doesn't take much effort vs having everyone wasting time scrolling through pages n pages

Ideally the last page has the latest events but then people comment and talk and yell and complain and poop then the event tomorrow is on page 5 and an event in a week is on page 3 and were up to page 12 and people don't show up

He's right though. Its pretty common for people to update the first post with new events and lists.

How about this, use the first post for up comming events and attendance lists and the second post for past events so people still have a reference guide to find older stuff for pics and what not? Still just a suggestion, your thread, you do what you want.

All you have to do is keep adding events tot he first post. If they are past who cares leave them up. If people can't figure out what day it is they shouldnt be driving anyway :tup:

Again, I could get the link because I was on my computer. But most of the times I post from my phone so I can't get a link. Meaning I will not always have a link posted.
Hope you guys just didn't contribute with the format of this thread but that you guys actually quit just driving around L.I. And come out to meets outside of L.I as well. Would be nice to get a caravan to some where distant some time. ;-)
