Default Annoying hiss

I recently had a Pioneer X850BT installed in my 2012 370Z Roadster. As soon as I start the engine I hear an annoying hiss from the factory Bose speakers without turning on any audio source. I took it back to the installer who told me there was nothing he could do. He told me there is no preamp which is usually the cause. Any suggestions? Gene

Get your remote start done the proper way. Installed a Compustar CS-800 today in a 2007 Hyundai Sonata today. All wiring was prepped ahead of time and twisted to lose slack.

Installed antenna

Installed the brain behind the fuse box out of sight and away from everything. Than routed all wires to their locations.

All wires shortened and installed.

Sounds like the RCA's are not installed properly or the factory amp is not grounded. There is plenty they could do.

Bump for spring. Looking to do a lot more installs this year. Became authorized to sell certain brands as well.

Default Amp mount behind seat

I was wondering if i can mount my kenwood amp just behind the seat vertically in that space. Would i be drilling into anything to mount it there? Also amp wire from the battery comes through the fire wall where? I have installed before but not in this tight car. Help please. Thanks.

Are you talking about above the carpet area towards the floor? Running the power wire you simply remove the shroud behind the battery and remove the electrical tape around the black grommet, slide your new power wire through there and it comes out inside at the passengers area

I've got a avic-z140bh and I am trying to clean up the dealers install by removing electrical tape and installing butt connectors. Is it easier to replace the RCA connectors? I am not sure how they are wired up from the pioneer harness.

Look at some pics HERE

Edit: I need THIS harness

Hello
I'm tackling an upgrade to the Bose-No Nav system in my 370z. The one requirement is to keep the stock head unit. I have read a lot on this forum, but have one question.

Equipment:
JBL MS8
Alpine PDX-F4
JL 13TW5 sub w/ magic box
Image Dynamics 6.5" components
Plan is to mount the MS8 under one seat and the amp under the other. Amp will power the sub and the fronts. Ditch the rears (are there even rears?)

Do I need to connect the MS8 before or after the stock amp? Would I lose any stock functionality by doing one or the other? I don't normally like to cut into factory harnesses - is there a better way?

Appreciate any insights!!

With the MS8 You can input high level speaker levels and have it sum them or tap the RCA levels before the amp and run them directly into the RCA inputs of the MS8. Either way will work low inputs would be better. You will have to splice into the harness either way.

Hey Brian! Let me just start by saying thank you for taking the time to answer questions from noobs like me. It's truly great to have someone who likes to help for the sake of helping.

Couple of questions:

I just took ownership of a used Nismo. It came with a Kenwood DDX770 head unit with stock speakers. I'm going to upgrade the speakers with a Hertz HDP4 amp, HSK165XL component speakers, and a 10" JL 10w3v3-4 sub.

I plan on using the amp with the two fronts off channel A, and bridging the outs for the sub. Should net 150w fronts, and 500 rear.

The Kenwood head unit (DDX770) has a sub out (looks like an RCA splitter). The question is should I use that out and go to channel 'B', or let the amp mix the out through the A channel? Like this:

amp wire.pdf

The second question is what rear camera should I use with this head unit? It seems that any would work (?) with an RCA out/in?

Thanks again man!

-Doug

Any tips on installing the zenclosures 6.5" speaker spacer's on top of or in replacement of the Bose 6.9 door plate? Not sure if I should just install with just two holes bolted down or not. There's a lot of extra space in the baffle as well.

I've been trying to find pics or a walkthrough for this, but I've not come up with anything yet. I was looking at Sliknik's video's also, but he has the base model and had 6.5's to begin with. Search comes up with nothing useful I'm afraid. :/

Any tips would be fantastic.

Thanks!
