Hey everyone. So now that the weather is finally warming up more I was thinking of starting a meet on Friday's and then we can all drive to the Bellmore train station car meet as a group. It's a great meet that has been going on for years. It's an official organized event so the cops don't bother anyone as long as you don't do stupid @#$%. A word of caution: they sometimes charge $5 to park (which is how they keep it an organized meet - permits)

That would be a little too far for me & the guys from the Bx. How about @ the Valley Stream train station (27 Station Plaza, Valley Stream, NY) or near Green Acre Mall behind Petco (Sidney Pl & West Circle Drive, Valley Stream, New York)

The whole point of going to the Bellmore meet is that it already exists and is organized so we would just join them as a group and we already have the Wednesday night Great Neck meet.

There's no way to find a meeting spot that's convenient for everyone unfortunately.

This is a great idea. i am all for it, including the drive for a bit part. but it would be nice to make it one day and one day only. and if people cannot meet on that one day of the week, its fine bc whoever missed it will have the next week to enjoy it.
This thing people do to meet on wednesdays and if it doesn't work out they try to meet the next day or the day after does NOT work. thats not a meet, thats just a get together based on whenever and whoever can on that day.
when i had my SRT there was a meet in jersey every thursdays for all cars. no need to check forums website people nothing. it always took place on thursdays. i would just leave work and go there and people would be there for sure. ALWAYS. a lot girls too ;)
I say we should start one around astoria area (i say this only because)

- is closer to ppl coming from far such as scorpio0124
- ppl coming from the city
- ppl coming from jersey
- and the ppl from L.I still can come out same way we come out there. it really shouldn't be far for them.

Jersey has a few Z drivers. i spoke to some of them over this weekend since i went out there for a meet. They told me they do not attend on wednesday because is too far deep (which it is), is right on the middle of the week, and worse part is when they check the forum ppl can't NEVER make up their mind, so they do not wanna drive deep for no reason. Organization has been a HUGE problem !!!!

I say we make a meet official around astoria area to be closer to others as well and not because is should be convenient to us. we also can do it in a different day from the wednesdays meet so people can enjoy both meets. i love love love Zs, but i also love cars period (except hondas ugh) lol, but we can start something for Nissan owners such as the Zs altima coupes, G30s (infiniti) and etc, and perhaps make it a car meet in general. For all cars. Also a closed parking lot so people can still meet regardless of the rain. "Night meet runs" would be awesome too. We meet some where then we take off to other people's or city's meets, such as jersey, bronx, uptown...
I am confident that if myself and nick join forces (and whoever has the passion for Zs and cars, would like to contribute) WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN !!!! as our country leader said YES WE CAN lol.

All i am trying to do is to come up with ideas and suggestions of what we can all do to have some fun, be around people that are interested in the same subject we are, have the same hobby as we all do and meet new people. networking with the type of crowd that share the same love is the best feeling. we can all learn from one another.

We do have some members a little deep in L.I. as well. Astoria would be even farther than the Great Neck meet. I think all is needed is better organization or a different day or something. Honestly I think Wednesday is a random day for a meet. Meets I've usually been to before we're on weekends and mostly daytime meets.

idk. i just feel like L.I is going even deeper, even further from the world and out the other way is more exposed to others than it is in L.I. idk thats how it seems to me. i may be wrong. ppl got cars and still complaint "how far..." this and that is. like why you got a car for then? to drive around the block? lol
but yeah i agree with you about everything else, except for am meets. all the meets I've been is at night and at night gives a better vibe as well, to me. once again i can be wrong lol.

So believe it or not I did put a good amount of thought into this (lol) so hopefully I can address some of the points you guys just made...

I was planning on meeting in Fresh Meadows since its convenient for all boros and some "not so deep" LI people. From there we would drive as a group to LI to the bigger (non-Z) meet but meet up with the other LI people who didn't come into Queens. Then we all drive in together. I've been involved in 2 other car communities and car clubs for shows before getting my Z so I'm no stranger to this stuff. It's a great feeling when you roll into the meet or show with a large group (especially the same cars).

I think it's great to have our Wednesday meet still, but instead of rescheduling for Thursday and so on this Friday meet is opportunity #2 for that week which is already planned and not just made on who's around that night.

Oh and meeting in Fresh Meadows means we grab dinner at Hooters...just some incentive :) and yes I have been known to get them to take pics with us and our cars for you pervs lol

I think that bellmore train station is a muscle car thing...across from king kullen...right?

That's the one...not a muscle car thing by any means. I went a few times last year and there were imports too..lame-bo doors and all :)

So we doin this this Friday or what.
