Big import day at Raceway Park N.J. Sat.28 & Sun 29th

I was there last year. Car show, many classes for drag racers, good food & beer, even a band with hot strippers dancing!!! Like most times, I was the only 350z/370z. A nice 300z turbo was also there.
My 350z is still being re-wired & won't be ready. However I may race my new/old 240sx se. It has 157k & is pure stock. I plan on winning bracket 2 (if car doesn't break Warning - very crowded, & bracket classes had 70+ cars in each class.

Plenty of hot Latin chicks to look at & hot guys(for the 370z owners

I am very approachable & will be signing autographs

Sunday has the racing finals & is the better day....

That day a shop from L.I. brought a Z that ran in mid 9's & won some top class. Also same shop brought 4 Z's to a smaller Import day at Island Drags N.J. It's just that after 2 years going to Atco & Raceway Park & being the only Z 90% of the time, oh well, sorry just forgot

Island drags was interesting. Since I had broken trans. (couldn't get it into second I had to enter the slower bracket 2 class. Some runs I had to try 3 times before getting in gear, then try to figure how fast to finish without breaking out & losing. As ridiculous as that sounds, there's more. Island is kind of rough. I got a nail into one slick & had to check, leave the line & drive like 3 times to add air on every run. I kid you not!

Still made it to the final run. Couldn't get it into second & lost. Only good thing, they gave me the same trophie for coming second

I hope the weather is nice, & I can make it, & I hope other Z owners/enthusiasts can also come. I'm sorry I won't have my Z. Seeing a hundred of Hondas & no Nissans is

yeah i just came from the shop and that Z was there....they doing work on it.

I still don't have my Z, so do I want to do this? It's been over 6 months since my last drag visit. I miss seeing all the different cars/noise & smell of a big drag event. If weather stays nice and I make it out of bed. Anyway, I'll try to make it with my 95 240sx with 157k & engine light on I'll try my luck in bracket 2, but will be happy if the car stays together & can be driven home

The weather was perfect. Thousands of car enthusiasts. Hundreds of import race cars, plus show cars and a bikini contest. All import car meet. Race cars that did six, seven seconds 1/4 mile, a jet car, and hundreds of regular street cars. Location was N.J. with NY, MD, CT, PA a drive away. Not a single 350z/370z showed up to go down the 1/4 mile.
