ok everyone seems like after this little stint of cold and possible snow that spring will finally be upon us.
seems like the end of the week is mid 50's into the 60's into next week!!! with that being said i figured if anyone got some last minute spring mods going on we can post it and discuss. i know jorpro got his turbo build going and his own thread for it. it looks awesome btw. also i will be posting some info on upcoming events/meets soon as well. most likely i will post a schedule for the pittscburgh cars & coffee meets along with links, dates of flashlight drags that are held in waynesburg pa and the one special event at the pittsburgh int'l race track, import face-off info at PRP drag strip, and stuff like carlisle shoe/zdayz if anyone is interested. soooooo for my spring mod list: fluids (since i recently hit 30k miles prior to putting the Z away its about time) new tires - michelin piolt super sports - going wider. 265/F and 295/R new air filters for my CAI and it actually goes in today to get my little secret exhaust mod done. it was in last week for it but the wrong parts came in so i brought it home to drive this past weekend. all parts are now in and correct so shouldnt be more than 1-3 days and i'll have some pics, sounds, and info

My car is all done, just waiting for April 11th to roll around to go get the final tune done, going to give it another once over tomorrow and see if I can hack up the OEM crash bar to make it fit, a local shop is capable custom fabing one but will not quote me a price, even a ball park so Ill see what I can make work. Plan on doing a rad upgrade in the future sometime, and then the stereo and diff are next on the list. Found the first after market wheel that I actually like on our cars as well (im wheel picky ) so maybe by July if business ever picks up, my paychecks are god aweful right now, this weather really stuck it to us this year...sigh. Thats my state of the Z.

hopefully your tune goes well and we can see some good numbers for your Z
Custom fab work is costly trust me lol I'm scared to see what this exhaust ends up costing. Quality work isn't cheap and cheap work isn't quality lol

Yes but I know the guy there, he worked for our company for quite some time, and its a crash bar, they custom fabed theirs for their turbo kit, and it would take no time at all for their welder there, I know him through one of my techs, he is an AMZAING welder btw.

Very nice. I got some money tied up since I'm using stainless t-304 and all mandrel bends. Don't want 50 different welds in 3 feet of exhaust like other "custom" set ups I've seen on here lol

Sub'd because I would really like to make it to one of these meets!
FPenvy, im pretty sure I met you last year at prp and again at the flashlights. Im the guy with the red 370, the only other one there haha. Joepro, i'm a tech at a Chrysler store, I know all about how bad this winter was for all of us it seems like. What I do know through the past 8 years ive been doing this though is that is will all average out at the end of the year. People that didn't come in this winter will be coming in the next few months lol.I my self is waiting on a couple more paychecks to do full suspension/poly motor/trans/diff mounts all at once complete with costume exhaust. |

One of my techs at work is seriously involved with auto x, he helps maintain the track at Jennerstown, he always wanted me to try it, I dunno, my car will most likely be useless fr auto x with a turbo, but Ill probably give it a go for fun.

If it's not too huge, you should be fine out there. Worst case scenario, lots of left foot braking, hahaha.
Speaking of your techs, I might be dropping off a pair of rotors at the Honda dealership in a few weeks once it gets warmer. Maybe I'll see you there.

I go there and out to Quaker city drag strip in Salem Ohio typically. Both are about equal distance in either direction of my house.
