Ok the verdict is in, I got the stock sized pss on, and yes, the size was 90% of the problem. The steering response still is crap on these tires...I honest cannot understand how people on these forums bashed the stock tires so much, they had better steering response and stiffer sidewalls, and the re50a is not regarded by the people as a good tire...and mine were dry rotting away, that's why I changed them! ANYWAY, I am much happier now, the car does no roll like a boat at sea in corners now, and is acceptable. Will I ever buy pss again, not at this price point, IMO they perform in the 700-800 dollar range, the KDWs on my 350 are similar to these in handling and grip, makes me wonder about the new BFG, might have saved 400 bucks...if I changed these out again, I would do this, 255/35/19 F and 285/30/19 R, this will go a tad wider but keep the sides short, yet shorter than stock, but it should help with steering response. Michelin has everyone brain washed, sorry guys, I agree 100% with Honesty, and I am running these at 40 PSI now, I want to back them off to 38 and see if that is ok. Keep in mine I still have to break these in, ram around for about 50 miles after work tonight they are still a tad slippy yet.

I mean of course, get what makes you the driver happy, but with as many satisfied people (me being one of them having had them and love them), can't all be misguided or brainwashed fanboys... Also, PSI is way high, drop that down to 35 And go burn off the "newness" of them. Griptastic.

I always run higher PSI, factory PSI is not ideal for handling...higher psi will help stiffen the sidewall, 35 is too low IMO.

Apparently I am much more demanding than the average Z driver when it comes to the corner response of the car...this is what I am learning. I could not keep them on the car, that's how much I disliked the performance of them. I will post some pictures for you guys to show you the difference in the tires and why I experienced the issue I had.

Hp isn't just a pretend number, it's the pushing force of your car. Hp is top speed, basically. Tq is how long it takes you to get there. Add 200 pounds of weight to your car and your top speed doesn't change, because tq offsets weight. HP offsets drag.

I put 500 miles on them before condemning them. If I go around a bend, no matter the speed, 30,40, 50, 100, doesn't matter, a set of 1200 dollar tires that I read over and over again are simply amazing, and every source that review tires names them the benchmark, should not allow the car to roll on the sidewalls, period. I went for a short drive tonight, and with the OE sizes, I am much happier, but again, I have driven on less expensive tires with equal handling characteristics. When I turn the wheel, the tire should respond, and have crisp and immediate response. Heck tire rack says it needs more comfort, christ, the sidewalls are soft enough, these ride like a caddy in comparison to the bridgestones...so much for honest reviews...I think plus sizing was a mistake, did that based off of the forums, with a stiffer sidewall tire, it may work, or some may just need the traction, but it will require a wider wheel to compensate for the softer sidewalls. I will just have to agree to disagree with the majority on these, I agree with the others(I have another thread on these) that say these are not TRUE performance tires, because they are not, they are good street tires, and way over priced. Hopefully my opinion will change after this set is scrubbed in, but I am skeptical. Just like all the hype when the hankook v12's came out, I bough into that crap too, what a joke of a tire, best budget tire most likely to kill you, that's what that pos was, this is good tire that is over hyped and over priced...I know you guys are married to these tires, I just do not see it, you are throwing away cash imo IF YOU WANT A PERFORMANCE TIRE, if you just want a tire that you want to go around that bend a little fast today, hey its great, out here in the country we have LOTS of turns and bends, and I use them, everyday...they say PSS is ok, but not at the level I was expecting. I am not saying this is a BAD tire, just not a great one for its "true" intended purpose...found this out there as well wish I did before, but its a good read, it also suports my theory of higher tire pressure...I do not track my car, but I agree with this 100%.
