i'll probably try to arrive early like 11-11:30 to get a good spot. from what i heard it filled up pretty fast last year since there's alot of VW guys around the area. i guess this was originally a VW meet but they expanded and invited everything even bikes now.

also my college roommate is bringing his new genesis and another friend is possibly showing up with his 350 when he gets off of work.

downfall is i just checked weather and its beautiful allllll week then sunday is 51 with a 50% chance of rain. i'm hoping it changes.

for anyone reading that that have been reading this and saw my posts about the meet up this sunday and are worried about the rain. i have talked to the guy organizing it and he said there are still people going even with the cold and rain. as of now the weather forecast is 54 and 50% chance of rain. i will be going regardless of weather. if anyone else is trying to go just let me know.

just changed my oil and got brand new tires for this next weekend. i'll be there possibly got a few friends coming with their cars as well. think i'm gonna take my 10x10 pop up tent for shade since it's at an airport and there's not much overhead cover lol

I just got back from Moab. Spent 9 days there rock crawling my Power Wagon. Because I took so much time off for that. I have to work the 20th. I can't make it to the drag race. It's only 5 miles from where I work at too.

That sucks but I'm sure rock crawling was a blast. There's 4 more races after this one though all at Waynesburg. One a month basically. Ill be at most of them too.

flashlight drags this past sunday was a success! i ended up taking 2ns in top tuner :) i'd say what i got beat by but it's semi embarrassing because of the make lol still the guy that beat me was keeping up a viper so i can't be mad.

there were around 250 cars there racing which was a huge turn out. also there were so many spectators and many more vendors than last year as well.

i ended up only losing twice all day. my first and last race lol other than that i went 11-2 on the day

hey everyone i dont know what everyone has planned for tonight but i am going to go to the drag strip.

after work i'm gonna go home change and head out to salem ohio to the quaker city motorsports park to runs some test and tune 1/4 miles.

gates are at 6 and racing begins at around 7pm. it's only $20 to get in and run from 7-11/11:30 depending on how late they let us run. last time i went i got there late and still got 5 runs in with ALOT of other cars being there.

It's a good time and last time there were almost 300 cars there racing!!!

You can just do fun runs against friends or challenge others you don't know.

Also they do a couple different classes for "pink slip" races. They hand out 8 "pink slips" randomly to people in each class and you battle all day to get one or defend yours until about 5:30 then they run the 8 people with slips for a nice handmade trophy usually of old auto parts.

It's a good time. Last time I ended up in second in the import tuner class.

Sound off if you have interest in going and we can all meet up and park together.

Ps I was the only 370 there every time I went and there have been a few 350s including a twin turbo monster that I saw beat a gt-r once.

I would like to get out to quaker city to run sometime this year. I will post up if/when I am able to and maybe we can meet up.

ok it's that time of the month again. this sunday is another flashlight drags event down in Waynesburg PA at the Greene County Airport. note that these are 1/8th mile drags due to runway length and safety reasons. regardless still fun.

I didn't realize the Flashlight drags were still going on, I used to go to the ones in Zelienople back when i had my Evo. I've been out of the game for about 3 years though.

FPenvy, I see your from Pittsburgh, is there anything going on around here anytime soon? I saw you mentioned shows in Wexford, that's where I am.

Yea I used to go to the drags in Zeli as well. All places shut down on flashlight drags due to the FAA or whatever giving the hell about it. Waynesburg is the only place that told the FAA to piss off and still allow them lol

I have been tryin to get interest and find more local people with Z and have meets from time to time. There just isn't a lot of 370s around I guess.

Ya I rarely see any 370's, I saw a white one in Seven Fields about a week ago. I know the Evo guys would go down to Dave n Busters and hangout around the waterfront, wonder if we can get enough Z's to do that. Do any ever show up at the Wexford car show at the church?

the flashlight drags are in waynesburg and from cranberry it's about an hour depending on how you drive. i know from my house it's 60 miles since i went to college in that town and it takes me about 50 minutes to get there.

yes there are 2 event left. august 26th and September 8th.

i have not actually went to the wexford church car shows in a while so i dont know if any Z's show up there.

Just came across this thread. I live by Imperial to the west of Pittsburgh. I've had 4 Zs since I've lived in Pittsburgh...call it an obsession. Currently though, I am in a Monterey Blue 370z.

I've been a part of a few clubs of the cars I have owned, and it always seems like it's REALLY hard to get a car group together in Pittsburgh. There doesn't seem to be too many car nuts like me around.

A friend of mine used to belong to an STI group of about 12-15 members that would have a meet once a month for wing night at quaker steak n lube in Robinson. But other than that, I don't see much around.

i'm glad more people are finally spotting this thread. and imperial is right by me. thats right by moon and quicksilver golf course. i live in ambridge which is like 15-20 min from robinson.

i really would like to get some Z's together from around here even though i know theres isnt many but by the looks of it there seems to be like 5 or so.

As I was looking at this thread via my phone. I saw a Monterey blue 370 drive by in Moon. I work up here at the army base
