Does anyone have any idea that how much will i have to pay for the ticket or i have ended up to go to court???

should i get a lawer to get rid of it ? or just pay for it?

coz i dont want my insurence raise up.

did he write you down for 95? if so, get a lawyer.

Ouch, around this area 40 over the speed limit would land you in a world of hurt. I definitely would seek out an attorney. Good luck.

Get a lawyer. Who cares about the fine, it's the points that will kill you as far as insurance. Just for fun, I looked at the judiciary web site here in Maryland, and found a guy who was clocked at 101 in a 55. He ended up with a fine just over $500. If convicted and you get the points, you'll pay many times that in additional insurance.

Ya might wanna also think about slowing down before you kill yourself or someone else. ;-)

Not sure about NJ, but in MA it's $10 for every mph over the limit. So you could be looking at a fine upwards of $400 for the ticket, not to mention points added to your insurance. I'd get a lawyer.

You're lucky he let you leave with your car instead of in cuffs...

You have some work to do - Kyle Bush's ticket was for 108 in a 40. ;)

+1 on the lawyer.

This is "Go directly to jail. Do not pass GO and do not collect $200." territory in Oklahoma.

For NJ

The DMV will assess two, four, or five points to a driver for a speeding conviction. This is entirely dependent as to how fast the driver was traveling. If a driver was speeding up to 14 mph over the limit, then he will receive 2 points. If the driver was traveling between 15-19 mph over the limit, then he will receive four points. Five points are assessed if a driver is speeding 30 mph over the limit. Quite often if a driver receives a 5-point ticket, then the judge will suspend their license.

Also fines are doubled for speeds over 20mph over the posted limit.

Did you also receive a wreckless driving summons? If not, you're really lucky. If you did, that would be an additional 5 points on top of the possible 5 you would get for speeding.

Bro if this is in NJ its 5 points and they can suspend your DL. Get a lawyer

Down here...well, it'd be bad

You could have been put in cuffs, That is reckless driving. Does the ticket say you have to go to court? Just to give you an idea I got a 85 in a 55 about 4 years ago. The fine was only about $190 but I got 6 points on my lincense and had to pay $300 over the course of 3 years. Good luck BRO.

better invest in a radar detector after this lol (because i have the feeling that youre not the type to slow down)

i got pulled over doing 95 in OKC when i was at the atc academy and just got a warning, dude was super nice. did it home in NY too with just a warning, ive slowed it up since then a bit.

but definately go get a lawyer. You'll end up paying way more in insurance and risking losing your license with out it. Also, arent radar detectors illegal? If you get one make it stealth, dont wanna add more summonses if you happen to get stopped again. Good luck with it all!
