My worst was 85 in a 50 though I was only going 75. Not much better but still the ticket was damn near illegible. And they let me plead to the some other no point charge but with a ridiculous fine 500 plus 200ish every year for 3yrs. IMO the state loves to make money and could care less about points. Pay them enough and they will change any infraction.

I noticed your location says Seattle to New Jersey. Is your car registered in NJ? Regardless a good lawyer might be able to get the ticket reduced...

This may have a bearing on how the ticket is taken care of in court. Look into the law. I don't think speeding tickets can go over state lines? Might be able to just pay it without any points or suspension..

Hopefully someone else can chime in.

I think there is a DLA (Drivers License Agreement) between states now where all that information does follow you. There are exceptions.

I imagine there's info on that Interwebs thingy.

+1 on the lawyer.

This is "Go directly to jail. Do not pass GO and do not collect $200." territory in Oklahoma.

Actually, i read he was doing 128 in a 45...

Yeah, with computers and that silly internetz, tickets will follow you. Ask me how I know.

Get any decent lawyer. Talk to friends. Go to court. Accept plea deal with no points on license if possible. Hightail it back to Washington pronto the roads are so much nicer than NJ. :tiphat:

Worth noting dc as well, even though it is not a state.
