Winter behind us?
With tomorrow projected to reach into the 60's and having Monday off from work, I am seriously considering throwing my stock tires and Rays back on this weekend. Will likely give the Z a much needed wash too.
Anybody expect us to get hit by another storm? I only drive a few miles daily so I could deal with a small flurry here and there.

I am going to wait until March to throw mine back on.

February can go both ways. It can be warm then get cold again. Heck a couple of years ago I remember when it snowed 6 inches at the end of the first week of March. I hope it stays warm from here on out but you just never can be sure here.

I actually hope it stays cold bc my summer setup won't be here in full till early-mid april. So do me a favor and put your summer tires on so murphy will make it stay cold longer!

No more snow for us Northeasterner's.
Judging by the pattern I believe it's only going to get warmer. Although I did check couple days ago the 10 day forecast and it drops back to 30's. But! The 10 day forecast is never accurate ty weather.com! Beautiful today, cannot wait for tom. TGIF!

Snow is not the only issue with summer tires, they don't like the cold at all. Camelback closes in march, once the snowboard get's put away winter is officially over. At least as far as I'm concerned but I'll probably wait until march also, unless it stays warm for awhile it'll be late march

I don't think its over just yet, but I don't think we'll see another snow storm like we had after Christmas. Unless you have another car as a back-up in case of an emergency, I would leave the winter setup. I drive with my summer tires all year round and use another car for days when it snows. The summer tires as you know, turn to hockey pucks when its really cold, but its never to a point where traction is non-existant. It's just reduced and you just need to go easy on throttle.

I drove on the stock tires during the winter a little bit, as long as your cautious and not asking for trouble i dont see traction as a problem with normal driving

maybe not, but why risk it. Especially if you already have snow tires... and their still on the car

Forecast for next Tuesday calls for rain/snow. I will leave the winters on and reevaluate in March.
Until then I'll just take it easy on the warmer days. You really don't want to spin the tires or corner hard in 60+ degree weather with these things. You'll wear them out very quickly.

Im waiting until they sweep the roads. too much dirt and salt for me to put mine back on the road... besides, due to the horrible winter in the North East, these roads are torn apart. Pot holes and heaves everywhere. I hope they fix them up well...

If CT is anything like VA if you report a pothole to the DOT it is usually repaired within 24 hours.
