I'm on Dunlop Wintersport's and I was fine. I didn't have a long commute or anything but I just wanted to try them out and I was fine. I didn't venture out on any ice though.

I was out driving in it all day, some of it was in the company truck but by then it had died down anyway. The worst of it was in the morning, with the Z. The only time I had any trouble was when I couldn't see the damn road

Tires are the most important thing on your car, and can make the most noticeable difference. Deffinitly pick up a set of snow tires, I've got michelin x-ice tires in the OEM size. There are not to many choices for a matching set of tires in the OEM sizes, these have great traction in the snow which is why I picked them. But next time I will probably get blizzaks like everybody else because most of the time your not driving in the snow, or even bad weather. The michelins are fairly soft, the blizaks are a more "high performance" snow tire so I could still drive like an ******* on warm days if I want to

I had blizzaks before on my last Z, they were great tires. But if i had to do it again I'd just pick up a fairly cheap beater car and put snow tires on if you have a long commute and/or live out in an area that doesn't plow much.

Ive got the Michelins as well and they worked like a charm the day after the blizzard when the streets were plowed but still coated with snow and ice.
