I love it! It is definitely DDable in the sense that i can turn the boost controller off and only boost to 9psi and only make 330whp But yea i won't be DDing the car. I dont wanna use it up, and it's still a 17 year old car, but it is running perfectly since the work has been done.
I'm gonna get a 2008 335xi as a DD, put a cobb and a frontmount IC on probably. Quote:

So you're using Cobb, Chuck? That and GIAC are pretty much the best solution. Stealthy, undetectable to the dealer, refined, reliable, and user friendly. It works just like UpRev, which is awesome, in case the car ever gives you problems, you just load stock map back in in 5 minutes time.

nope, arnold you know me, i push the limits of things, lmao...
I have JB 4 ..... Duel cone intakes, Charge pipe with Synapse BOV, 3 inch catless downpipes Match Shnell, and Agency power exhaust.... DP and E not installed yet... also looking at helix or ETS intercooler... right now JB4 on 100 octane map is just silly.... like 8 lengths faster than my Z was.... on map 2 with just jb4 and filters its about 4 cars faster... pretty darn good for $580 into the thing.. the car easily has over 125 more tq than my Z did and its pretty enjoyable ..... even driving slow boosting only a smidge to 4-5 lbs at 1/4 throttle throws me back more than my Z did floored...

Nah not scared of the dealer, the JB4 is pretty aggressive though and runs a lot of timing, the cobb is a little less aggressive, and since i'm not trying to go too crazy i think it'll be good enough for me. Also, thats what the tuner who built my motor on my 300zx and tuned the car and did all the work has on his 335, and i trust his opinion Thats why the jb4 runs more timing than the cobb and thats why it picks up a LOT of power on race fuel. What kind of power are you putting down on 93? i like to stay a bit conservative with tunes on cars though. i'm sure its a blast to drive though. |

You don't need an exhaust on the n54 cars, they are full 2.5" piping all the way back. Only thing it changes is sound. |

I get the best of both worlds My girlfriend's 335 Coupe is slowly beginning its modding. I ordered her a rear spoiler lip and front lip. Likely doing Eibach drop before the end of the year. And Dual Cone Intakes in the next month or two.
As far as ECU, definitely aiming at something very conservative. |
