i'm thinking an 08/09 335xi. hard to find in a 6spd though. my perfect car would be a 335xi sedan 6spd with navigation.

My girlfriend is picking up her 335xi Coupe today with iDrive. Oddly enough, I actually did come across a lot of 6MTs in that guise while searching.

I find it funny how the MT crew seizes every opportunity to talk **** on AT drivers. You have to be pretty delusional to think that someone would get rid of a 30K investment just because it's "not fun". How about it's not cheap? Life happens and you have to get rid of toys, pushing a stick from one gear to another is the difference between keeping a 30k car and not? Are you really that stubborn? I'm 100% sure that every person that got rid of their Z did it for other reasons than the car being AT. It's a 2 seater summer sports car, not the most practical thing for NYC. I loved my Z until the very last drive to the dealership, never had an issue with it, and it never got boring to me. Realistically, unless your Z is fully paid off, or youre already settled in life... you will sell your Z. Kids come around, houses come around, and then your Z no longer holds that much value in life. People don't buy cars just to have fun, you can have fun for a lot cheaper than the monthly payments for a Z... escorts for example.

Totes agree. Living in NYC (and I live in the city proper, not in the outer-boroughs or the depths of LI, where the greatest danger to the car is a mild speed-bump), two facts are inalienable and irreconcilable: the 370Z is not very practical for a lot of people, nor is MT. I think the 370Z is plenty practical for me, and I don't mind rowing gears through traffic, but I can definitely see why MT isn't everyone's cup of tea; I really don't think that AT/MT should make or break someone's car buying decision on a DD car in the city.

Can't we all just get along? At this rate each group of owners is going to park in their different corner of the parking lot scowling at each other for owning a Z/owning a BMW/Driving manual/ Driving automatic. Maybe we should focus on being car enthusiasts regardless of form.

Besides, the way things stand now it's hard enough to get people to come out to the meets lol

AlphaSnacks 08-25-2011 12:57 PM

Yep.

And the 7AT on the 370Z is a badass transmission too - shifts quick and the paddle shifters feel great.

Btw, in my last comment, I wasn't implying people sold their 370Zs because they were AT. Just found it coincidental so many were.
