Anyone interested in a Bear Mountain Run Saturday 5/22?
I know this is short notice, but I wasn't sure how the weather nor my schedule would look like this weekend...at least on Saturday. Since Saturday will be the better day and I'm free for the morning, how does a run to Bear Mountain sound?
I figure we can meet up around 7:30AM and hit the road about 8AM. (similar to this previous attempt at a BM run: NYC Metro Area Upstate cruise this weekend - 4/3 or 4/4) I can plan to go further north and stop for lunch afterwards if the majority of people are interested in doing so. Post up and let me know!! MEET DETAILS TIME: 7:30AM ... roll out by 8:00AM LOCATION: Parking lot area Behind Duane Reade (entrance for lot is the same for Friday's/Dunkin Donuts, etc.) 1780 East Gun Hill Road Bronx, NY 10469 If anyone has a change of plans and would like to join last minute, just reply to this thread. I'll keep an eye on this thread while at the meet location tomorrow morning. waaaasabi - I'll see you in the morning, bro!!

It was a really good run today. Right off the bat, ran into a guy who's 3-week old Z was sidelined on the highway and we made sure he was alright and immediately recruited him to the forums
As we progressed northward, a Maserati Gran Turismo blasted onto the on-ramp followed by a Shelby Cobra; two cars leading perhaps the most eclectic line-up of cars ever, including a R8, a Ford GT, and a Turino with a Daytona Charger-esque monster wing. A bit difficult to see, but BoostAddict is hard on the Maserati. Rolled with those cats for a while then we hit the mountain and f*cked some sh*t up. America... **** yeah! Only if you know, people actually show up haha BoostAddict and I were discussing this, but perhaps the next meet/run (which will probably be in 2 weeks), should be through Jersey. If enough people are interested, we could start an official meet/run thread, where people can suggest routes or collaborate on creating routes, etc. Hopefully this will help garner interest and larger turn-out in the future

Hey Waaasabi,
We definitely had a nice run today even though we didn’t get to do the entire route. Those detours during the drive got us off schedule a little bit. I just had to pull over when we saw the fellow Z’er off on the side of the road and when those exotics/classics merged onto the highway, how could I not join their entourage? Today must have been a day for the toys to come out, because a few minutes after splitting up on the way home, I ran into a group consisting of a Gallardo Superleggera, Noble M12 and an E92 M3 bringing up the rear. Not to mention the 997 GT3 RS I saw earlier (not sure how you missed that). Anyhow, nice pics!! Still not sure how you were able to snag those…good job. As far as the next drive, I’ll let you try your luck at starting it. I don’t get great turnouts when I plan them.

GREAT PICS!
These pics give a good idea of the area around Bear Mountain, highly recommended. Just watch for the PoPo!
