Auto-X event Northern MA - May 2nd

Just wanted to throw out an invitation in case anyone wanted to test their car and driving skills under auto-x conditions.

The event is in Ayer, MA, hosted by the local Corvette club but all car types are welcome. The courses is set up on an old military airfield and each run way is a mile long so you don't have to worry about sliding into a lamp post or a curb. There will be 2 heats and so you will drive, and then have a work session chasing cones, a lunch break and then rinse and repeat. Expect 9-10 runs overall.

There will be instructors available, so if you are a complete novice you don't have to worry about getting lost in the cones. You will need a helmet, either M or SA (1995 or higher).

The event cost is $50 and lasts all day.
BSCC Autocross 1 - 5/2/2010

People come from as far away as NY/NJ to run at these events!

Of course! Your welcome to take rides with any of the cars too, I'll have an extra helmet available if the wife doesn't come. Just sign the waiver at the entrance, one of the participants will be there sitting in his car waiting for you.

Here's the map to the entrance.
Approximate Street Address: 90 Fitchburg Rd, Ayer, MA 01432

I actually went on the site to sign up yesterday and saw another Z, I was excited!

Might be going with a few others.

Excellent! It will be fun to see another Z out there. There is a Red 350 Nismo that shows up on occasion.

Just let anyone else know that sign up closes Thursday night at midnight, or at 55 drivers, which ever comes first. Right now 44 drivers are registered.

Bummer, that's too bad. I talked to him for a little bit, seemed like he was enjoying it. Man that is a heavy car though.
