Cop presence on Taconic parkway

Anyone travel much on the Taconic State Parkway that runs north through NY state? Will be road tripping it up to Boston err... at some point via this route and

Cool Cop presence on Taconic parkway
Anyone travel much on the Taconic State Parkway that runs north through NY state? Will be road tripping it up to Boston err... at some point via this route and am wondering at the cop presence on the road, which is 55mph from what I hear.
