NASA Northeast HPDE & Race Schedule

It is that time of the year! NASA Northeast is kicking things up this year with Pre-season discounts. $333 for the 2 day HPDE events. Go to NASA NorthEast 2009 - safe and affordable way to get on the racetrack for details. The NASA HPDE program is not simply an open tracking. You get about 2 hours of track time but also included is an instructor who is dedicated to you for the whole day as well as classroom instruction.

Even with a stock car, the best modification you can do to your car is to get proper instruction on track, those skills will transfer over to the street. Eventually after you have become experienced in HPDE you can move up to Time Trials and eventually become a racer.

As Race Director and Chief of Timing and Scoring, I will be at all Race Events (Fri-Sun) and a few of the other events as well.

Here is the Schedule:
February 6 - ANNUAL NASA-NE Awards Banquet Dinner - BEST WESTERN Regency House, Pompton Plains
March 27 - Lime Rock Park- Full Day - HPDE

I'm very interested in this.
Couple questions...
Will we need helmet?
Will we need any previous experience on the track?

Helmet yes.
Experience no, they will have a beginners group.

NASA NE 2009

I'm considering Lime Rock as a warm up for the season but I don't understand why that track is always 50% more expensive than the others. It's not just a NASA thing, it's all the clubs.

LRP is just expensive they bang out the clubs for more $ cause it's close to the city. :(

See above... NASA-NE/PDA is based out of NNJ. Our head instructor drives a G35 coupe.
