NJ: Z Owners with Nismo Z wheels Wanted
 

Hi,

Just trying my luck here, I am trying to find someone in the NJ area with a Z and OEM Nismo wheels. I want to find out if the Nismo wheels fit on the GTR, so I would like to meet up and ask for a favor to let me test fit your wheels on my car.

So far, it has been a one-way street, we all know the GTR wheels fit on the Z without a problem, but given the GTR calipers are quite a bit larger, I want to make sure they clear the brakes before buying them.

From what I have read, some gtrs run 18" wheels with the proper offsets/spacers.

Right, I understand that. But, I am bound by certain SCCA rules, which really limits the change in offsets I can make. In short, I need to run the GTR OEM offsets +/- 7mm.

The Z Nismo wheels fall exactly within the limit, but the only uncertainty is whether the backspacing (or spoke design) is enough to clear the bigger brakes at the front. I think they probably will be ok, but I want to make sure before I actually buy them, which is why I am hoping some local Z owners can help out.

Thanks for the offer to help. I haven't been on the forum for a while. 2011 Nismo#91 was kind enough to meet up with me and let me test fit them, so I am good for now.

Are you planning to sell your wheels?
