Well, I must say, it's quite shocking to see a Nissan Dealer have their own motorsports division around here. This dealer not only have their own racing car(s), but they have a dedicated website that keeps track of all the events, track pictures, engine builds etc!

Lets welcome Scott from Fontana Nissan. He will be on the forum answering questions and helping out members with his knowledge. There will a dedicated sales person (Danny - pending registration) to help you out with your Z quote, purchase etc.

I asked Scott to tell me more about Fontana Nissan and their motorsports division. Here's his reply ;)

So far our General Manager/President, Mike Cronin Jr., competes in the 350Z shown above in the Redline Time Attack Unlimited RWD class. Mike pulls double duty driving an R35 GTR in the Modified AWD Class.

As for me, you can see me piloting the Robispec STi in the AWD Street Class. Who knows, maybe you'll see me pulling double duty in a 370Z soon?!?

Mike and I met each other at the Redline Time Attack season opener at Buttonwillow...who would have known just a couple months later and I'm heading up his Performance Division here at Fontana Nissan!!!

It's refreshing to see dealers like Fontana that get into the motorsports angle of things, because then you've got a dealer who will work with you on aftermarket stuff as far as installations and repairs go (unlike most, it seems, who don't want to install/warranty aftermarket work and want to at least give you a dirty look if you bring a modded car in for unrelated repairs).

If I had a dealer like this in my area, I'd probably use them myself.

Thanks to Fontana Nissan for their help in making our project a reality. I purchased the "Bluemeanie" as I call it from them. They even delivered the car to me 2 1/2 hours away from them....one way! Now that's service :tup:

Scott, we spoke a few times on the phone and I look forward to meeting you in person. That double duty in a 370 you talked about wouldn't be in the meanie now would it.....?

I look forward to meeting you in person as well! My STi is currently up for sale and I'm hoping to replace it with a 370z as well! In the meantime...if you need a driver for the bluemeanie...I'd be happy to help! ;)
