Dual climate control?
Why didn't Nissan upgrade the climate control system the Maxima and GT-R use for the 2023 Z? Was it to cut costs or keep it similar to the 370Z?

Almost undoubtedly cost related.

I have dual climate control in my Infiniti Coupe.
Never use it, I always remind my passengers, wife, son, coworker, "go ahead, if you want you can set your own temp" every time they say it's "fine the way it is". Just like my memory seats, power tilt/tele column, that stuff never gets used. I'm grateful Nissan didn't bake the HVAC controls into the infotainment, on my Infiniti the HVAC system is displayed in the infotainment, so I am SOL if I want to change out the head unit (I don't consider Chinese Tesla HUs appropriate for my needs) |
It would be nice if they did. Or make it as a option. And no cooled seats. Its 2021 going on 2022. Come on.
I'll be in my bunk! |
Because it's still a 370Z.

I agree with Viiv, with the amount of wiring the VR30 uses there are things that although would have saved so much weight, looks and headaches it would have meant more development on these.
Other than the exterior and certain parts of the interior, the car is a 370z, nothing wrong with that. You only have so much space in a Z cabin unlike many Infiniti's |

-I have this in my 2008 altima coupe, and it's head and tails above my 2019 Z! LOL.
I've used the dual nature only a handful of time for passengers who run differently.....but the ease of use...the controls.... are way far superior to the dial knobs on my Z. Pushing a button is far faster than dialing around. All in all though, I don't care much. I will say from a design perspective the 3 dials echo the 3 gauges nicely. |
