Being in heavy South Florida traffic and the fact theres no DCT is a deal breaker for me. My girlfriends Hyundai Veloster Ultimate is DCT and its AMAZING. Hyundai is launching the N line Veloster with the DCT next year. Frigging rocket ship for $34K.

that’s a fair criticism, I personally think the interior styling is just fine, it has a nice retro 240z flair at least to me and it isn’t cluttered up with oversized touchscreens etc. I do however have a huge gripe with the seats if they are in fact recycled 370 seats. The “new” nismo seats should be the base seat at least and we should get real functional racing seats in the nismo ala gt3 rs etc I think it’s a good thing the power plant is not new, we’ve already got aftermarket support, and it’s proven to be reliable and decent. Big step up from the vq37 imo.

The thing is I'm not even upset about the power plant. It's that the transmission is (from what's been released so far) the SAME 7 speed trans and SAME 6 speed manual that came in the 2009's. The interior is NOT heavily modified, unless you consider a digital dash heavily modified. It's virtually identical to what was released in the 370z with the exception of stitching.

I think we’re getting a new 9sd at which hopefully is a big improvement. The 6mt is a very strong reliable unit other than the csc. I hope that’s been addressed but if not, at least we have zspeed.

I realize they're struggling financially but I'd wager to say it's due to lack of innovation. People just aren't interested in Nissan anymore because almost everything they produce is behind the curve by 3 to 5 years the moment it hits the showroom floor.

/\ I totally agree with your last point, they’ve played it to safe for too long, thanks Carlos Ghoen “le cost cutter” for that one, and it backfired. This new z35 is the beginning of their turnaround hopefully.
