[OFFICIAL] Discussion for the next new Nissan 400Z Z35?

Tough to judge the blue with such an out of focus picture - I do wish the seats had a more racing seat look.

Love the contrast interior and that blue is killer. BUT, do my eyes deceive me or are those basically the exact same shitty seats from the non nismo 370.

That color combo would work 100x better with some sweet recaro style racing buckets.

It wouldn't be any worse than S13/S14/S15, I swear those cars are adult Lego sets lol

I can see an easy Z35 front swap or the Z35 Sideskirts on a Z34 but......that's about it.

have there been any photos of the suspension?

I assume they are just going to keep the actual geometry the same and just mess with the spring/damper rate, maybe some bushing hardness

if they add camber adjustment, that would actually be a massive upgrade

also . . .let's see those brake caliper mounting points. If they're the same as the Z34, then its swap city

Z1 already has a kit for the GTR brakes anounced right after the new Z was shown off.

https://www.z1motorsports.com/brakes...t-p-20559.html

I'm betting they will have a full motor swap kit etc when it releases because they designed the first vr30 swap. Which I think the Z1 was actually the test partner for this new Z when it was done a few years ago. Which is why the are releasing swap kits for brakes and stuff right after they were shown in the new Z.

No new spy shots?

One mod I happened to think of recently that will no longer be possible is easily making the automatic shifter look cooler by simply buying the manual boot cover and swapping them out. Some people did it for posing, but others like me did it because it was one part of the interior that just looked cheap. The leather boot just looks so much better. Now with that "wonder wand" looking thing I'd say people are stuck with something belonging to a luxury sedan, not a sports car.

While I'm not sure I would go with the blue either, I agree with what someone else said which is that it works surprisingly well for the C8. Saw the blue for the first time in person this weekend at C&C in Knoxville. Thought I'd hate it, ended up being okay with it. Hopefully that translates for the Z too.

Whatever your take is on that, I hope it means more color options. The folks with 40th Zs got the only red leather seats and inserts they ever made for the platform and I'm super jealous of that. My dream combo for this new one would be pearl white exterior with red seats/accents throughout the cabin. Maybe red seatbelts. I'm more into red than most people, lol

I've tried to keep up with this thread for literal years and don't recall any further leaks on interior options for the new model. Is there any info I've missed on potential options etc? Seems we've got some insiders!!

If this is our biggest issue with the z35, then I’d say we’re doing pretty well.

There will certainly be much more important issues, I was merely making a point on a "lulled" thread. Its not a deal breaker by any means, just something to talk about.

Doing pretty well? I'm not so sure about that. I don't really care to start making predictions, but since you think this car is doing well as is, I will. Bottom line, I see this new Z as "sketchy" at best.

(EDIT: Rest of post removed simply because I just rehashed old crap everyone already knows and I don't feel like discussing it further. I should have just kept my mouth closed.)

So the 400z forum has more photos recently apparently the proto is a mess in person. The doors don't open normally, the trunk won't open, they only have one proto etc. Honestly it makes me sad Nissan is floundering so hard right now they can't even get the doors to open normally gotta use a button on the pillar right now. Jeesh Nissan get your crap together and when are going to learn anything else about this car are they really going to drive one single prototype around for years before the release it or something? Took them this long to just to throw the vr30 motor in a rectangular version of the 370z. At this rate it will probably take another half a decade to pick the colors and decide to put it on the showroom floor. https://www.nissanzclub.com/forum/th...rs-coffee.172/
